My elementary school had drills telling us what to do in such an emergency. This is exactly what they told us. AND NOW FOR A FACT: IN CALIFORNIA YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REGISTER A SHOTGUN!

I live in America, and I was only taught to hide and be quiet. I had to learn this on Tumblr. If one more person says that technology is ruining children, they best shut the hell up because this could be saving lives

We had more lockdown drills at school than we did fire drills…

In a lot of states, including MI you dont have to register long guns (shotguns, rifles, muskets) but i promise you... i promise you. That has nothing to do with school shootings. Basically in ever single state you have to go through backround checks to obtain any firearm. Ok, the problem here is the criminals are buying guns from other criminals. Or even good people that need the money and the just report it stolen (they take cash for the purchase and dont file any paper work) so i promise you. Firearm registration has nothing to do with safety. Its just a sad state of human behaviour.
