He blinks, weighing her statement against previous experience in cases given by the law firm and ones that he'd taken on personally. Admittedly it's far removed from the worst he's ever heard a potential client request, and yet... things at the MBCC rarely go according to plan.

Could she, perhaps, have some bone to pick with the dear Chief of the Bureau? Well, she wouldn't be the first.

"First consultation is free, but I charge the standard hourly rate after that and overtime for leaving the office. Night work also comes with a different fee as well." He offers her a thin, sharp smile and leans forward in his chair. There is no doubt in his mind that the guards are watching this exchange with wary eyes, and Nightingale would certainly hear about this later. But for now he would put that all aside, speaking as though they were in his office in Eastside.

"It would be best if these regulations had some form of backing from a person with experience in medical care, but it wouldn't be impossible to find a way around that. Do you have an itemized list of instructions and products that you prefer to use? If not, we can draft one." Behind his glasses, Fox's red eyes twinkle with a bit of mirth. "But if you're going to be my client, then I will do my utmost to bring you victory. Shall we begin with names?"

but this is not the garden. coquelic is no longer surrounded solely by those who have committed her routine to memory and can intuit her whims.

she sighs dramatically, making do.

she crosses her arms, leaning backwards out of the doorway to steal a glance at the nameplate outside the room. S-077: MR. FOX. she supposes she has one of these things too.

a literal interpretation and irony caused a short laugh, but she figured there was something more to it than what's on the surface. her answers proved beyond a doubt she had no idea what was going on, which made her work that much more difficult.

and that was something she had yet to determine. it was clear to her this wasn't a normal summoning, but aside from the general information given to her of the time period and place she was in, she knew jack all about what a sinner was, or what that strange barrier behind the woman was.

she steps closer, stopping just before the patch of flowers starts. she sighs before looking right at her, a more serious tone as she taps her foot and speaks.

' i'm a servant, avenger class. those monsters were attracted by my summoning, and i suggest if you don't want to keep fighting them that we go somewhere else. i have questions and i'm sure you do too. '

a sideways glance is cast towards the blooming carcass nearby. coquelic would expect that the other members of the garden could deal with such a thing, but she certainly isn't of the mind to bring such a fight to her home turf to confirm. and truthfully, she has little desire to learn more. coquelic hates to involve herself in the matters of others. she hates even more to be dragged into them. but it is always better to know than to not, and so she relents.
