"I don’t know if she loves you or not and I’m not one to tell lies," Bataar told his son."So tell me, son. If our family isn’t one for lying tell me why you decided to leave. I won’t yell, there’s been enough of that already. I just wish to know why you left."

"Didn’t you and mom always talk about following our hearts?" Bataar Junior looked at his father, sadness tugging at the corners of his mouth, "And then the first time I ever tried, tried to step out of my parents shadow, my brothers shadows, she called it a betrayal. I found someone that loved me, believed in me. When I’m around you, I feel like I have to try and live up to you, and that almost killed me, whether you know what I was going through or not. And I left because I couldn’t take anymore."

He had no idea. He always assumed his son loved working with him in the city, or maybe that's what he wanted to see.

"We believe in you too, Bataar," The father stated taking a deep breath trying not to stir up anything more." We just don't have the same beliefs that Kuvira does... You never had to live up to me. We want you to be happy but what Kuvira is doing is going to have serious repercussions and we worry about how that'll effect you."

" I don’t need to sit down, dear, I’m fine." Her voice cracked on the last word, and she ducked her head and brought a hand up to cover her eyes. " Just- I need to keep busy."

He frowned putting an arm around his wife pulling her close without a word. They had been both out of sorts for months going on now hearing about what Kuvira and their son was up to.

Opal had told them the news of their engagement and things seemed to go back to they way it was when Jr. had first left the family.
