Human Chase hurts me because he's always trying to offer support to others while he's actively breaking down inside. His dad drilled it into his head since childhood that he was a burden, that nothing he did was ever going to be good enough, and that he was the reason his mom died. Chase internalized it as having no self worth or confidence and that he could off himself and it'd be a good thing. That he was a killer and deserved whatever pain was thrown at him.

Yet those things aren't presented to others because he's mastered the ability to mask his sadness through humor and being ~a goofy guy with little going on inside of his head. No one takes this guy serious because he never takes himself seriously.

Behind the scenes he descends into a drug addiction and takes more risks to get his fixes. His friends eventually catch on to the changes but by that point it's already too late.

Info: Ibiss is the Tercera Espada and the Red Horse of War. With considerable power, Ibiss is noteworthy of slaying the former 11th Captain, Yonagi. Ibiss lives for nothing but metal clashing on the battlefield. Hueco Mundo field mission reports show Ibiss patrolling the front lines with her expansive army of fraccion. She is seen by the 11th division as a primary target to execute, despite not being the most powerful Espada. Her ress is based off of an eagle-owl.

Ibiss is nonsensical and commanding, takes nothing from no one and won’t hesitate to stomp anyone into the ground should they get in her way. She lugs around a giant battle axe rather than a sword and likes to intimidate others with it. She’s very grounded in conversation unless she disagrees with something. She’s not very intelligent, relies on instinct and such. Ibiss is fiercely protective of her own fraccion and works well with them. She likes the idea of having a lot of fraccion because she would have a lot of individuals to command over and respect her. In battle she would fit in with the heavy hitters, a bit slow but it’ll ruin the opponent’s day if they’re hit. Ibiss tends to get ragey if the opponent doesn’t go down quick enough and her accuracy drops as a result.
