Post season 2 finale. Pre-3x01. Paul goes home and breaks the news. May as well. Everything else is already broken.
Start of a new long fic in honor of the new season! Hopefully, going to get a new addition to Dynamic done by the end of the week, too.

Jakes swirls his hands around the air in front of him in a silent look atwhere we are right now. They’re alone in the living room, but the guysthey’re trying to buy a (hopefully) smuggled parrot from aren’t far away,negotiating a price in the kitchen.
Grinning, Johnny stands to pace a little, inevitably ending up in front of thegrey parrot sitting on a stand by the window. “What about this guy?”he asks, bending to get a better look at the bird. “You gonna ask him forhis green card or something?”

Jakes sitsback on his heels and brushes the sand off his jeans. “Shit, was that thisweekend?”
“Dale, Iswear to god-”
“Kidding,”he laughs. “Kidding. We’re good. We’re at the park now.”
He stands towalk away so he can hear Charlie better, pointing at Johnny so he knows that he’sin charge and to keep an eye on Luca.
This is the funniest thing I’ve read in ages. Jakes should totally be paid for watching four kids. The bathtub scene was priceless
Thank you, I’m so glad to hear that! Poor Jakes. He knew what he was getting into, and it was still worse than he expected.

Well, isn't this sweet?! I've been suckered into an Agents of Shield project that I've been giving a lot of attention to, but I haven't forgotten my promise to get to everything in my inbox.
I have it figured out that if (starting in February) I do two prompts a week, I'll have just enough to last me until the summer (and next season!).
(Someone may need to hold me accountable for that, but hopefully I'm sticking to it!)

Yes! There are three-ish more chapters of Distance left that are holding my attention right now, but after that, we'll be back in business.

I'm late, I know. I'm late and I'm guilty.
I went for a run before I was going to finish it on Friday, and a not-so-nice gentlemen decided that he very much wanted my wallet. It became a thing, and this became late.
Thanks to everyone who gently nudged me towards finishing sooner than later. You made me guilty, but it was a good guilty. :)
