The Pacific Northwest is known for its open spaces, and its vast beauty is easily explored by car. Last month, I embarked on my first road trip with one of my best friends from childhood. We started in Seattle and spent a few days driving down the Oregon coast to Northern California. Once in Cali, we drove across the state to Yosemite, and then doubled back to spend a few days in wine country before making our way back to Seattle.
All in all, we learned to embrace detours, enjoy the journey and explore the open road.
