IWTINY Challenge - Day lol

So I sort of gave up on this because I don’t have the desire to do this challenge. I’m on Summer break and no longer on a routine so it harder for me to keep up with things and to do things on time. Even though no one probably read these or even look at this blog. I do desire for this blog to grow and to shine Jesus’s love and that this blog will help me do that into my own life as well. I am however still setting the goal to read the whole New Testament by the end of July. Love, Zach.

IWTINY challenge  - Day 1

  1. Make a goal for this month. Make sure that it is something challenging while achievable! I had no idea what to make my goal for July. So I asked my sister who is a very strong and outgoing follower of Christ to come up with one for me. So she told me I should try to read the whole New Testament for the month of July. There are 260 chapters in it, and I’m already a few days behind. So in order to meet this goal, I will have to read 9 chapters a day. Which will be a challenge but that is the point.

Hi everyone!

Our team is brainstorming some amazing ideas lately! One of them is that we want to incorporate something to challenge you guys and bring you outside of your comfort zone. We are going to have a list of 30 challenges for you to complete at the start at each month. We encourage you to blog about them and share with us what you have learned that day or at the end of the challenge! Tag your posts to #IWTIYCHALLENGE Starting June 1, July1, ect :)

  1. Make a goal for this month. Make sure that it is something challenging while achievable!
  2. Write your testimony! Journal it or blog it to share with your friends!  Click here on how to write a testimony
  3. Pick a favorite scripture and write about it on your blog or in your journal. What it means to you. If you want to take it a step further, write the verse on your hand where it is visible so people can see it. (hopefully someone will ask you about it!:) )
  4. Thankful Thursday! What are three things that you are thankful for today? (continue this for the test of the days if you remember!)
  5. Describe the church that you go to. Is it small? Big? Do you attend a small group? What is the music like? Do you volunteer there?
  6. What is your favorite book in the bible? Why? Find your favorite chapter and read it again. Reflect.
  7. It took God 6 days to build our world. He took the 7th day to rest. So on this 7th day, take some time to rest. Rest and then reflect, what is your favorite part about creation? Do you have a favorite spot? Is there some place that you want to visit?
  8. What does it mean to be a Christian? What verses support what you think?
  9. Fast/skip a meal today and pray diligently instead. During your breakfast, your lunch break or even dinner!
  10. What comes to mind when you hear the word religion? Are you religious?
  11. Read Matthew 27:32-56 This passage is also know as The Crucifixion of Jesus. You have probably heard it a million times, but read it with a deeper perspective. Pause after each verse and picture it as vividly as you can. Did you know that “His appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any man and his form marred beyond human likeness?”
  12.  What are some of your favorite Christian songs? Post them! Let’s hear it! Click here for a list of Christian songs

  23. What is your favorite Christian blog on Tumblr? Give them a shoutout and show them some love!
  24. Does your blog/social media reflect your walk with Christ?
  25. Think about tis. Do you call on God when you are giving Him praise or asking for help more?
  26. Do you have any questions about Christianity you are struggling with? Drop it by us! We can try and help you answer. Or even better, go to a pastor or friend and discuss it with them!
  27. Have you been baptized? Where and when? If not, why haven’t you?
  28. What sin are you struggling with the most? Be real with yourself. Post about it, or keep it private between you and God.

A Beautiful Design (Part 1) - In the Beginning

He says, ‘take heart, my sweet beloved’

My mind has been dark lately, but not the no night-light kinda dark. The kinda dark where the sun is shining so beautifully and you want so badly to join it, but instead you’re tearing up because the demons won’t stop creeping up and whispering old heartaches and insecurities.

I am ashamed that I didn’t call out Jesus’ name as my gut reaction, instead I’ve let scary thoughts brew through my head. I finally couldn’t take it anymore and I started in on bible study notes and then I fell into this passage. My heart began to melt slowly, the demons subsided, and His peace filtered through the pages.

He keeps telling me that He will tune my heart from mourning to joy. And I believe Him, I do, I do. Because He lifts up my head and does exactly what He says. He is gracious to my heart.

I am living proof that someone who loves and is following Jesus still battles with depression sometimes. Just a reminder that it’s okay, beloved.

A few days ago, I prayed that God would give me a desire to fall more in love with Him. So this morning I was sitting in bed thinking about everything and I thought about how much I care about myself image or how I represent myself which can be bad or good at times. Anyways I thought well I want God to be the focus of my life. So how about I live a life that glorifies God. So others can see Christ within me, that is the self image God gave me the desire for. It is just so wonderful that my creator gives me a purpose to live every day.
