Bonds of Family, part two
Once I left the car rental place, I realized I had just enough time to drop off the note and get back to the mansion within the hour time limit. So I went slightly out of my way to drop off the note, but something happened that I did not expect…
Dean and Sam were standing outside the bar, so I had to re-write the note to include my brothers. This is what I ended up writing:
Dear Jo, Ms. Harvelle, Sam, and Dean,
Hey, it’s Y/N. I hate to contact you guys this way, but unfortunately I’m going to be in deep shit if I stay and talk, because I was given only so much time to get some errands done. I just wanted to let you guys know that I am alive, and that there is a small chance I might be able to escape tonight, because the entire coven of vampires that kidnapped me is going out to celebrate the birthday of the leader’s daughter. If I do, I’m coming straight to the bar because it’s my only hope right now (I hope you don’t mind….) But anyways, they will most likely be back by sunrise, so if I do escape we can expect them to come after me by tomorrow night at the latest. I’m HOPING that they will leave everyone at the bar alone if I’m not there when they get there, so …Sam, Dean, be ready to book it. Ms. Harvelle, Jo, you guys might want to get ready for battle though, just in case. And one more thing: if I am not there by sunrise, DO NOT TRY TO COME AFTER ME!! The vampires I live with feed on me and the rest of the servants regularly, so they are all very powerful, and there are at least fifteen of them (to give credit where its due though, the head vampire does supposedly pay us for our services. I’ve never actually had access to the bank account he deposits my pay check into, though).
I love you guys. Please, please don’t do anything rash, no matter what happens.
After I finished writing, I took off the friendship bracelet Jo had given me all those years ago and put it in the envelope with the letter so they would know that the letter really did come from me. After that, I took a minute to figure out how I was going to deliver it. Before I had decided though, Sam walked up to the car and knocked on the window.
“Excuse me ma’am, but do you need help?
After deliberating a minute, I answered, “I do, actually. I have an urgent message here for Jo and Ms. Harvelle and her daughter Jo, but I don’t really have time to deliver it. Would you mind giving it to them for me?”
“Sure lady. We were about to go inside anyways. Who is it from?”
“It says so in the letter. Thank you so much mister.”
In hindsight, handing the letter directly to Sam probably wasn’t the wisest of decisions because Dean ended up cutting me off in his Impala five minutes after I pulled out of the parking lot in front of the bar.
They quickly had me surrounded, and obviously I didn’t want to fight my family, so I surrendered.
“All right sweetheart, come on out. We have some questions for you,” Dean yelled as he stepped out of the Impala.
So I quickly checked my watch.
“I only have a few minutes to spare. If I don’t get back to the mansion by five, Y/N will be in some deep shit.”
“Then take us to her!” Jo said as she quickly stepped forward and grabbed me by the wrist. “You may not know her well enough to be able to tell, but because I was best friends with Y/N before she disappeared I could tell by the letter that she wrote that she’s really scared. She needs us! Besides, what is she trying to pull, escaping by herself? Has being apart from us for so long made her suicidal?!”
“Maybe,” I said dryly. “Regardless, you guys can’t come with me- “
“Look sweetheart, either we are all going to the mansion or none of us are,” Dean interrupted.
I pretended to sigh exasperatedly. “Look, do you have any idea how much both Y/N and I have risked our necks for your sakes already? Contacting anyone on the outside is grounds for immediate death. If I bring you guys with me, then the vampires will know and Y/n will be dead before we can even get inside the mansion. And by that I mean dead-dead, not undead.”
In reality though, on the inside I felt like a gigantic schmuck because I was finally realizing how much my disappearance hurt everyone…Dean wouldn’t have risked the Impala for anyone, for starters, and it wasn’t like Jo to open up so much to someone she just met (or at least, she THINKS she just met…You know what I mean!) But what hurt the most was seeing how worried they looked, and having to lie to their faces to keep them safe (I knew there was no chance in Hades they would let me go if they knew who I was. I had never been more thankful for the plastic surgery Jeremy had forced me to get after I was kidnapped).
Sam took a deep breath. “Then will you at least tell Y/N not to come? We’ll come to her. What time will the coven be leaving?”
“They usually leave around sundown for events like this, but judging by how hectic it was when I left I would give them an extra hour or two. Knowing Y/N, she will want some time to hunt down the information to her bank account anyways. You should probably come fully armed with a few more friends though, just in case you get there before they leave or Jeremy decides to leave behind a few of them to make sure none of us try to escape.”
“Very well. How many other human servants are there in the mansion?”
“As of right now, there’s one other, not including Y/N and myself, but she’ll probably be going with the coven tonight so I wouldn’t plan on rescuing her. Besides, I doubt she’d come even if we bribed her. She idolizes this coven-especially Jeremy and his daughter Tiffany.
“He’s the leader of the coven, and probably the very last vampire anyone would want to piss off because he has the resources to make people disappear without getting directly involved. Tiffany is his daughter, and she is the snobby type so it’s not a good idea to cross her either.”
“Okay, thanks for the information. We’ll see you tonight. What is your name again, by the way?”
I hesitated. “You can call me Wendy.”
“Okay, we’ll see you tonight Wendy. Stay safe.” Jo said as she backed up towards the car.
I barely managed to get back to the mansion in time, but once I got there I got a pretty unpleasant surprise.
“So you managed to get back on time, Y/n,” Jeremy said as I walked through the door. The fact that he actually called me by my first name was red flag #1, seeing as he only called me that when he was extremely pissed. The voice he used was cool as ice, though, when he spoke again. “I know that you didn’t come straight home after getting that car, missy, and I am not amused. I thought I had made it clear years ago that it is forbidden for you to go anywhere outside the mansion without my permission?” He backed me up against the wall and leaned forward right in my face. “You are lucky you managed to get back in time, otherwise you would be in much deeper shit now. Fortunately for you, I don’t have time to deal with you at the moment. We will talk tomorrow evening. Until then, you are not allowed to use any of the electronics in this building, and you most certainly are now allowed to go outside the western wing of the mansion. Understood?”
I gulped. “Yes, master.”
“Good. We will return just before sunrise. Until then, your dinner is on the kitchen table. And be warned-if you disobey me again while I am gone, I will know.”
After that, I went straight to my room to find the other servant, Melody, waiting for me on my bed.
“So were you successful?” She whispered.
“Kind of. My brothers were there, and they all insisted on coming to pick us up tonight,” I muttered into her ear. “The bad news is Jeremy somehow found out I didn’t come straight back to the mansion, and he put me on house arrest to the western wing. But the thing is, I need the information to my bank account.”
“Don’t worry about that, I know where the information to both of our accounts is stored. I’ll go get it right now,” she replied as she quickly left.
After she came back with the information in hand, we decided to take a quick nap.
We woke up a while later to the sound of a fight going on outside. I got a very ominous feeling, so we both rushed outside.
We found Dean and Sam getting tackled by two members of the cloven on the front lawn. Jo and the rest of the rescue team, however, were nowhere to be seen. And even worse, a second later Jeremy appeared with the rest of the cloven, looking more displeased than I had ever seen him.
“I suspected that you contacted someone on the outside tonight, you little traitor,” he said to me. “How dare you ruin my precious daughter’s birthday,” he screamed as Tiffany sobbed into his shoulder. “You all will pay for this, you little bitch. You are coming with me!” He said as he ran up to me and roughly grabbed me by the arm.
“Wait! You’ve got it wrong, we’ve never seen her before!” Sam yelled as he struggled to escape from the grasp of one of the other vampires. “We found out about this cloven on our own- “
What happened next made my blood boil. That bitch Tiffany ran up to Sam and slapped him across the face so hard Sam’s face snapped sideways. “Don’t. Lie. To us, vermin!” She snarled. “I am SO not in the mood to play mind games! Tonight was supposed to be MY night, but you ruined it!”
Have I mentioned how much I despise Tiffany? Not only was she a spoiled brat, but that bitch just slapped my brother when he was clearly unable to defend himself. I could only glare venomously at her and kick and scream profanities as Jeremy swung me over his shoulder and carried me away into one of the rooms in the mansion.
That was when things got weird, even for the life of a hunter.
Jeremy’s eyes turned completely pitch black like a demons,, and he was lifted into the air by some unseen force as he chanted words in a language that seemed very vaguely familiar. A split second later, something black came shooting out from his outstretched hands straight towards me, but a split second before it got to me I heard someone else scream something and I was pushed out of the way. Unfortunately, though, I blacked out after that.
I woke up a while later to the sound of Deans voice and the feeling of someone tightly grasping my hand. “Look lady, thanks for saving us but you better tell us where Y/N is.”
“What do you mean, where is Y/n? She’s lying right there! It looks like she lied to you guys so that you would let her go back to the mansion alone. Knowing Jeremy, he probably forced her to get plastic surgery shortly after he kidnapped her.” She paused. “It looks like she’s awake now, but she probably can’t open her eyes right now.”
“What do you mean, she can’t open her eyes?! What happened to her, she looks so pale! Who the hell are you, anyways?!”
Someone sighed. “My name is Princess Kyokina. I am the daughter of the king and queen of a race called tsukokians. Listen to me very carefully, you guys, because we don’t have time for me to repeat myself: Y/N is technically my sister as well, and the attack that Jeremy launched at her combined with all the times those monsters fed on her has put her in critical condition. Don’t interrupt me, I’ll answer your questions later. Listen, we need to get Y/n back to the safest place that you know of, okay? Her life is hanging in the balance right now!”
“That would be the bunker. Follow me.”
“Actually, I will need one of you to go to a bar called The Duchess Tavern in St. Matthew to retrieve some items I’ll need to save Y/N.”
“Okay, listen carefully: The tavern I’m talking about is located at 2322 West Saturn Street in a nearby town called St. Matthew. Once you get there, go to the back door and knock on it three times. Someone on the other side will ask you for the password then, which is Anamaria’s Return. After that, my other sister Lucia will let you in. Once she does, you must tell her that I sent you to let her know that Anamaria was nearly annihilated by a dark tsukokian tonight, and that I am fighting tooth and nail to keep the small amount of dark poison within her at bay. She’ll give you a box of items, at which point you will need to come straight to the bunker to deliver them to me. It is essential that you follow my instructions exactly. Any questions?”
“Good. You can take my car.”
It was silent after that apart from the sounds of cars driving away and people getting into them. After a few minutes, Dean spoke.
“So would you mind explaining what exactly is happening to Y/n right now?”
Kyokina took a deep breath. “Its kind of a long story, but shortly before she was born my mother had a prophesy that said the Dark tsukokians would someday break through the barrier separating our worlds in order to take over the human race, and then overthrow the royal family of my world. She also foresaw that Y/N was the only one who could stop them, so when she was born we placed her into your family for safekeeping and temporarily modified your memories so that you would believe she was part of your family until we returned for her. But something went wrong. About ten years ago, the Dark Tsukokians somehow found out about her and broke through the barrier long before my mother thought they would, and once they did they kidnapped Y/N. Ever since then, they have been enslaving her and slowly feeding off of her tsukokian power. And ever since then, I have been searching hard with my sister Lucia to find her and thank God I did. Look, what you got to understand is that tsukokians like Y/N, Lucia and myself are much like humans in the sense that not all of us are evil. You see, there is a ceremony that can transform humans into tsukokians, but it is a very complicated ceremony that is almost impossible to master. If it isn’t done exactly right, then the humans soul is destroyed and they become a dark tsukokian, which is essentially a smart zombie that looks human, but is actually a million times stronger and faster. After Jeremy took Y/N into the mansion, he launched an attack on her that would’ve turned her into a dark tsukokian, but fortunately for us all I got there in time to deflect most of it. Now quiet, the poison that did get to her is getting harder and harder to hold at bay. I need to concentrate.”
Everyone fell silent after that, so I took the opportunity to think about everything I had overheard. Now that Kyokina mentioned it, I had always felt like I was different than Dean and Sam. I guess now I knew why.
A/N: i would love to know what you guys think of this part! Personally, I thought it was pretty cool cuz I’ve been wanting to write about tsukokians in a supernatural imagine for a while. :)
