I always figured the babies had such serious faces because they were learning so hard. Like, learning to dance(for a baby) is just another skill like learning to hold a spoon or throw a ball.

Babies do not understand the relative utility of the skills they are learning so must approach all with the same level of intensity

I like talking to small children because they are comfortable ending a conversation. Adults hate “awkward silence” and will often continue to talk after the most enjoyable part of a conversation has ended. A child will be like “yeah. Anyway bye” and go back to what they were doing two feet away.

First it was “go to college”

Then it was “major in STEM”

Then it was “one year experience”

Then it was “three years experience”

Then it was “three years of DIRECTLY RELATED experience”

Then it was five years of DIRECTLY RELATED experience"

Now, if you didn’t practically invent the technology a company uses, you’ve got no shot.

“but I started in the mailr..”

Nobody gives a f*ck about how you started in the mail room. You’re the CEO now. The mail room job is an unpaid internship now, and it requires 3 years of directly related mail delivery experience to even be considered. Sit down.

Holy shit, you reblogged this from 3 years ago and, like… there’s not a word here I’d change

This is the Irukandji jellyfish, which has venom 100 times more potent than a cobra and sends 50-100 people to the hospital annually. It’s venom can cause fatal brain hemorrhages.

This is a viperfish. It only grows a foot long and can’t do shit to you.

So yes, I’d say it’s accurate.
