I read “One Day” way back when it was first printed in hard cover and thought it was heartbreakingly beautiful. The kind of book that wrecks your soul in all the right ways. The movie adaptation was crap. There was too much story to tell for a movie. The Netflix miniseries was absolutely gorgeous. I loved it. It was perfect. God. I may never recover.

Dear Jenny Han,

If “I Miss You, I’m sorry” doesn’t play when Conrad tells Belly he still loves her on the beach next season, we riot. Is anything more Conrad coded than the lyrics: “I still love you, I promise. Nothin' happened in the way I wanted.”
