My experience of King Asmodeus

Upon meeting him while drawing a gift for a friend, he greeted me with a nauseating rush of energy and later with the words “Finish my drawing

At this point I hadn’t read the myths relating to King Asmodeus and I admittedly giggled a bit because wow, this drawing is a gift, not a commission and the audacity was funny to me. It quickly turned into a “job” tho, with his energy hanging around my right shoulder while I worked.

During this period, a huge storm was coming in and a tornado was expected. I have a huge problems with tornados and getting overwhelmed with anxiety when sirens go off. While the wind bent the trees outside I felt his presence enter into my space and the words “nothing will happen to you and your family”

Thankfully he wasn’t blowing smoke and everything turned out fine, the weather calming down an hour or two later. After the drawing was finished and sent off (signed Dobby the art elf cuz that’s exactly what it felt like), I still felt his energy in the house. With the nerves from the day and the onset of hormones I asked that I be left alone, that his energy is very there, and that it was an honor to meet him but I’m only interested in working with Mammon and this house is closed off to frequent visitors.

He respected my wishes and I felt the air clear. The next day I woke up and like normal folk, scrolled the feed. An artwork popped up with the exact features of the portrait I had done the day before. I took this as a knock at my door and decided to ask what he would like to talk to me about.

A tarot spread later it became pretty clear that he was interested in working with me. A few other discussions later and it slowly became apparent that it was more of a matter of fact instead of a proposal. The whole interaction boldly stated “I’ve adopted you, you’re mine and you work with me now”

Even more discussions with current guides advised me that there was something’s to learn from him and that they felt it was a good choice. I decided to go with the flow and accept it, knowing that he was an addition and not a replacement for current guides. And let’s be honest, he probably seen my daddy issues from miles away and who am I to deny the perfect opportunity to be bossed around by a man that seems to know exactly what he’s doing?

I let him know that, yes, I would like to work with him. Thus initiating the next task. An altar. After just two days of knowing him a space for him was cleared and the beginnings of an altar was set up.

Other things I’ve observed is that even tho he is quite bossy at times, he is very respectful and seems to be very good at communicating. I’ve asked him favors and set boundaries and he will clearly respond and be accommodating.

I’ve also noticed that he has an aura of acceptance that comes with him. A benevolent aura that just simply understands. He is also fantastic at working with my adhd, and rolls with the punches fluently. Taking advantage of my stim breaks and my frequent daydreaming while listening to music.

Overall, it’s a vibe, and I feel honored to share this past week with him. I’m excited to see where it goes in the future. Hail King Asmodeus, thanks for adopting me lol

King Asmodeus Pact Month: Day One

Last night I made a pact with King Asmodeus and one of the terms of the pact was that I would help teach others a bit more about him for a month.

So for day one, what better place to start than a simple offering you can do for him that can be mostly reused. The only thing that will need replacing is the candles.

For this offering you’ll need

  1.  Bay leaves
  2.  Rose petals (whole, crushed or synthetic)
  3.  Pink Salt
  4.  Lavender
  5.  Orange Peel or Essential oil (I personally use the oil)
  6.  His sigil. I went extra and used up some gold ink I have to make it sparkly.
  7.  Candles (optionally with a dab of your “spicy fluids” on it)

I added some coins until his poker chips arrive. But you can also use a blank Lotto stub/scratch card or small playing cards. Just make sure they go under the glass dish so they don’t burn.

You can add or change some of the herbs in the mix but this is the one I prefer to use and he seems to love it! You don’t have to break the bank with Asmodeus, he appreciates offerings given with a grateful heart, regardless of how much it was. He also loved getting things that are hand made.

KING ASMODEUS PACT MONTH: DAY NINE

King Asmodeus as a Hero and a Villain

Artwork by Nekro [Twitter]

We've heard stories like it millions of times before. The gallant hero and the sly, controlling villain. In those cases you're often asked to pick a side, to pick good or evil.

However with King Asmodeus it's not that simple.

He has such a rich history across multiple cultures and time that he's been portrayed as both and everything in between. Here are just a small handful.

  • He liberated other demons from under the control of King Solomon with just his wit and banished him to the desert.
  • He killed all of Sarah's suitors before they could consummate the marriage because he wanted her for himself.
  • He was seen as a Seraphim, offspring of a (fallen) angel and a human.
  • He was a fallen angel himself.
  • In Zoroastrianism he's the daeva of wrath and destruction

In my working with him, he's as much a noble and just king as he is a wrathful demon. He's everything, the good and the bad.

On one hand he's a patient teacher who will guide you through magick, teach you how to control and handle energy, meditate with you, help you overcome trauma and plenty of other things.

On the other hand he's a force to be reckoned with, his rage and wrath is nothing to joke about. I've seen him in action in curse work, I hexed a neighbour (going to keep most of the details to myself, just know it was extremely valid as harmful threats were made at me), I wanted something bad to happen so they'd lose their house and have to move away. The next day, the male was arrested along with 2 of the females closest friends and the female couldn't keep up payment on the house. Turns out the male and her two friends assaulted a police officer randomly because "they just saw red".

There have been a few other interactions have have pushed this duality of him but this is already a long post.

TL;DR King Asmodeus is his own unique shade of grey. He's the hero and the villain in one body, capable of amazing good and terrible evil.

King Asmodeus Pact Month: Day Two

Who is King Asmodeus? He gets a lot of either bad or wrong press. Many people think he’s only interested in lust and sex but that’s only a very small part of his actual nature.

King Asmodeus actually rules over multiple things:

  1. Lust and Sex
  2. Glamour and Beauty magick.
  3. Astrology
  4. Astronomy
  5. Vengeance and Justice
  6. Luck and Gambling
  7. Power
  8. Knowledge
  9. Geomancy
  10. Handicrafts.

These cover some basics as to what he rules over/can help with. King Asmodeus actually rules over all the gambling houses in hell, so he’s good to have on your side when you gamble or just want to look impressive at card games.

Let’s talk about lust and the aspects of it.

Lust is often defined as a sexual thing but it’s really just a passionate drive towards a goal. Think of the lust for power or lust for life.

King Asmodeus is an amazing demon to call on when you need that extra drive in your life to achieve a goal or get motivated to do something. He won’t, however, do the thing for you.

KING ASMODEUS PACT MONTH: DAY ELEVEN

King Asmodeus In Popular Media

Ah, pop culture!

A source of fascination and frustration for demonolaters. Many demons are misinterpreted and often portrayed in a way that distorts them beyond recognition, yet it's also a great way to branch out and reach new people interested in the occult.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina brought many people to the Demonolatry/Satanist scene and I'm sure there will be other shows and movies that come out that will drive another wave of interest.

However, lets come back and look at the effects on Pop Culture and King Asmodeus.

Dungeon and Dragons has him appearing as an (often but not all the time) evil character and ruler of the Nine Realms.

Helluva Boss has him running an illicit club and focuses solely on his Lust aspect, nothing wrong with that, but at the same time there's more to him than that.

Obey Me! is a popular otome reverse harem game that uses his character, again mostly based on vanity/lust/charm.

While all of these have appeal and do represent him in some way, he's more than just a caricature that can be labelled with just "Lust".

He's a noble demon of power, willpower, strength, passion, lust, sex, gambling, war, destruction, freedom and liberation. He is more than what popular culture says he is. He's very nuanced, complex and will shock you if you go into working with him with a simplistic idea of how he'll act. While he does like sex on the astral plane, he's much more likely to talk with you and teach you something you desperately need to know. He'll pick you up when you're feeling down and scold you if you've done something wrong or need to change something.

If you're looking for a cute/fluffy/sex obsessed Asmodeus to work with, you're going to be in for a shock.

KING ASMODEUS PACT MONTH: DAY SIX

King Asmodeus's Lesser Known Aspects

When people think of demons they either think "Nightmarish Abominations" or "Super Attractive People". While they can have these aspects, a lot of the time demons will appear how you envision them, especially at first. However, the more you work with a demon, the more aspects of them you'll see.

King Asmodeus has many aspects to him and how he can appear. He has his "Goetic Grimoire" appearance from the old illustrations of him with three heads and breathing venom. He also has his "Handsome Human/Incubi" form that he often uses when he first meets practitioners who want to work with him.

These aren't all of his aspects though, and depending on what you want to do with him, his form may change. He has his "serpent/draconic" looking form for protection and intimidation, the often takes this form in the Astral to keep practitioners safe as they cross. He has a form of "pure flame", he takes this form with me when I have to undergo purification or get rid of astral parasites. Another form he's shown me is that of a large "black rooster" that consumed astral parasites that were blocking my path.

There are many other aspects to him but these are the one's I've encountered so far.

Demons often use their shapeshifting/transformational powers to help us or teach us. So don't be afraid if you invoke him and a different form shows up. When you first decide to work with King Asmodeus and you both agree to work with each other, come up with a passcode or make a riddle together so you can confirm who it is. Or have King Asmodeus make a certain symbol, sigil or even physical thing happen to ensure you that it's him. Making his candle flame move a certain way is popular.

KING ASMODEUS PACT MONTH: DAY FIVE

King Asmodeus Common Misconceptions

Modern media tends to make demons out to be either one dimensional or completely evil. The truth is, demons are multifaceted and complex. As humans we like to put things in boxes and make things simpler than they are but when working with demons, you soon realise just how limiting this is.

King Asmodeus is often portrayed as a being of sexual lust and nothing else. He's a lot more complex than that. While part of his job does include ruling over the Incubi and Succubi, he also helps those who need help in overcoming sexual trauma, assault or who have unhealthy relationships to intimate feelings. While he does gratefully accept sexual offerings, he's just as grateful to receive a picture you drew or some tea as you come to him with your problems.

Under the same umbrella, people tent to mischaracterise "Lust". It's not purely sexual. Lust just describes an incredible drive to do something. If you have a project that needs doing, petition Asmodeus to help you gain the drive to do it.

He's a problem solver, through and through.

King Asmodeus also rules over the gambling houses of Hell and can bestow luck in gambling and loves to play poker and blackjack in the astral with his practitioners.

He's also very fair and can be invoked to help with justice or vengeance spells. As a high ranking demon, he knows how to hold his own in a battle, whether it be physical or mental. He's willing to impart this knowledge onto those who ask for it.

I could go on more about King Asmodeus and his qualities, and I may cover some of his more minor aspects later on, but to keep this short and sweet(ish). I'll end this here

KING ASMODEUS PACT MONTH: DAY SEVEN

King Asmodeus "Darker Side" and challenges of working with him.

While I've been preaching the benefits and plus side of working with King Asmodeus, but it seems only fair to talk about some of the challenges too.

First of all, King Asmodeus is... well... a king. He demands respect and if it's not given he can get rather angry. This can manifest in different ways, from being scolded, things breaking/not working right to him reversing pacts or pact outcomes. I'm not saying you have to bow low as soon as he walks in, though you can if you want, he finds it amusing. But acknowledge his presence.

Secondly, when King Asmodeus tells you to do something and you agree to it, you actually have to do it. Now, the agreement part is very important. He's not going to get you to do something against your will, but if you agree and then don't do it, he won't like it and, again, might retaliate. However, he's not heartless. If it's completely out of your control that you couldn't get it done, he's not going to be insulted. Only if it was out of laziness or trying to "pull the wool over his eyes".

Thirdly, and I've seen a lot of people make this mistake, don't give excuses to King Asmodeus. It won't work. As I stated in another of my KAPM posts, he takes pacts and oaths seriously. If you say "I'll meditate with you for an hour a day" and then don't do it, again, he won't be pleased. Only promise things you can actually do, anything else is a bonus.

Finally, don't just write him off as a one trick pony. He hates it. He does, however, love a challenge and working with you to improve your skills. He's an amazing, if strict, teacher and you'll learn a lot from him. His teaching style can vary from tongue-in-cheek cheeky to very solemn and "by the book", depending on the subject.

King Asmodeus is an amazing demon, but remember that he is a demon. He's kind, funny, patient and protective. But he's also vengeful, strict and has high standards. Work with him, by all means, just be honest with yourself and him about what you're capable of. He'll respect that a lot more than someone who promises the world and fails.

30 Days of Deity Devotion

Day 1: Basic introduction of the deity.

Image

Lord Asmodeus is one of the ruling kings of Hell or The Underworld.

His (or they as most Demons don't have genders) origins like most Demons or Daimons is a mixed bag. Some say he was one of the fallen angels that revolted with Lucifer, others see him as a Djinn from Persia. Or both.

His domains are Lust, Love, Abundance, Wrath, War and greed (but he's actually not big on the former)

Usually sends songs, gold and feelings of lust as a sign that he's around. Also chickens, Birds and Dragon fly's or Dragons (but that could just be specific to myself)

He is associated with the signs Taurus & Aquarius, sex, lust, gambling, money, music, battles and vengeance.

For myself he can appear as a red Incubus, or an older businessman type (Mobster) with a cane, or his original look of a "Djinn" looking demon with black eyes, sharp teeth, pointy ears, a horse head on one shoulder and a bull on the other with a possible rooster foot usually hidden under a large cloak or robe also wearing a cap or crown. Hair is usually black or white.

His energy is very warm and heavy but in a good way. He definitely gives off Master or Daddy Dom energy if your into that. 😈😏
