Art and Writing Commissions
If you’re following my blog, you probably already know that my baby boy dog Maverick is only 1.5 years old and had a grade 2 mast cell tumor removed from his muzzle in October. Right now there are no other signs of the cancer, but for his best chance at survival, the oncologist said he needs to get radiation therapy so we can treat this aggressively and make sure it won’t grow back for a few years. Without the radiation, it could grow back in the next couple of months, spread, and his survival time would be in months instead of years.
Thankfully I have insurance for him, but they only cover up to 7k a year. Radiation therapy is 8k so it’s going to use up his insurance until it resets next November and then I still have to shell out 1k for it. On top of that, the closest vet that does radiation therapy is an 8 hour drive from where I live, so I have to stay at a rental for the 23 days he’ll need to be there for the treatment. Boarding him at the hospital was just as expensive (3k) so I decided I’d rather just stay with him to lessen his stress.
I really hate begging and I know this has been a hard time on everyone, but I don’t know what else to do. 4k is a lot to spend right now, but I’m not going to let this go untreated and just let Maverick die in a few months when he’s barely begun to live.
I’ve decided to try opening up commissions for art and/or writing.
Examples of my art can be found on my DeviantArt and examples of my writing can be found on my Fanfiction.Net and AO3 accounts. I have written for the FMA fandom, mostly for the Royai pairing, and for the Raven Cycle fandom, as well as my own original works. All donations and commission payments can be sent through my Ko-Fi.
What I’m offering: 1 headshot/bust sketch, uncolored = 1 coffee
1 headshot/bust sketch, colored = 2 coffees
I am not taking commissions for fanfiction, however, you may request a fanfic (I’ll write for FMA/Royai, Akatsuki no Yona/Hakyona, Raven Cycle/Bluesey or anything really, but those are what I’m most comfortable with) and if you enjoy reading it and/or enjoyed my past works, or if you like my original story Grim Aria which is published alongside my fanworks on AO3, then please feel free to tip me on Ko-Fi! If you do know about Grim Aria or if you know my OCs and like them enough, I will absolutely take commissions for stories with them. I’ll take commissions for short stories involving your OCs and mine together, just your OCs, or anything in that kind of vein.
I hope to have all commissions finished by January, provided I’m not overwhelmed with a lot of them.
Thank you so very much if you decide to donate or commission me! Every little bit helps more than you know.
