Hey guys, I’m back to struggling to find work at the moment and I’m opening up editing and writing commissions again. I have professional experience as an editor and can provide refs if you want, and have worked professionally as a freelance writer for a couple of years now. I’ve got examples of my work if you want ‘em. Here’s what I can do for you:

Editing: I can edit your creative fiction, I can edit your creative nonfiction, I can look over your resume, I can edit your website copy, I can help you with your damn school essays (although I will not do them for you, sorry, too Hufflepuff for that one).

Nonfiction Writing: I can write your website copy, I can write your anything. Honestly. I can write anything (except your school essays or anything else shifty). I have a degree in that shit. Hit me up and we can talk about whatever project you’ve got.

Creative Writing: I can also write you some stories. I think I’m good at the stories. People say this anyway. You can check out my AO3 here if you want an example of my writing style and some of the fandoms I’m familiar with. (In the old days, before the world changed, I posted under mumblybee as well.) But really feel free to just ask me directly about whatever. I’m pretty much game for anything so long as I’m vaguely familiar with that thing, and I am happy to do original fiction. One thing I was doing for a while was a Name Stories series, in which you give me a name and I write you a fictional account of a person with that name. Sometimes including space pirates.

Pricing! Light edits are $1/page. More in-depth editing, including structural advice and “where is my story going please help” type advice is $2/page. Anything else you need or you’re curious about, again, drop me a line. I’m flexible.

As for writing – let’s go with $10/500 words, $15/1,000, $20/2,000, $30/3,000, and we can talk about anything more than that. There’s always a chance I’ll write more than the amount we agreed on but I ain’t gonna charge you anything extra that occurs from my own overly verbose tendencies.

As a sidenote that probably ought not to be a sidenote – I can also do tarot readings. I’ll do 4-card readings for $10. You’ll get a nice write up that goes through the reading in detail. Doesn’t matter if you believe in spooky tarot spookiness; it can be just plain useful as a practical method for organizing your thoughts and outlining goals, and my aim would be to help you do that with a reading. I use this deck. It’s very cheerful. Wouldn’t spook a fly.

So! I’m doing reduced-price tarot readings through the month of November, with basic 3-card spreads (Past/Present/Future) at $7 each. This includes photos of your cards and a basic analysis of the reading all wrapped up in a nice, neat pdf.
