Laptop Fundraiser For Harmony

Harmony is a trans woman of colour, raising funds for a laptop, and a great writer/staff member of truly one of the best critical blogs on the experiences of QTPoC, Black Girl Dangerous. Some of her important writing includes: 5 Ways to Support Trans People Who Don’t “Pass” for Cis; Caitlyn Jenner, Social Media and Violent ‘Solidarity': Why Calling Out Abusive Material by Sharing It Is Harmful; You Can Be Loved: For Those of Us Who Live With Mental Illness; and Do the Work: This is How You Can Support Trans Women of Color Right Now.

Harmony is having tech difficulties with her laptop and her laptop is the tool for her primary source of income. As you know, not many spaces allow trans women of colour to speak their truths and Harmony does this well. So more than just what we get from her writing, her income and resources are critically attached to this laptop. She needs a new one asap. 

She’s raising $1300.00 for a laptop. I have over 22,000 subscribers here and even more readers, so even if just a little over a thousand people give a dollar, we can knock this out in a single day. Let’s get this done for this incredible writer and important voice for trans women of colour: DONATE!

Additionally, on a personal level, Harmony is so good to me. She knows how much navigating certain tech issues impact my anxiety and has done some tech work for me out of sheer kindness, though I believe in donating to people who help me. I appreciate her kindness so much.❤

If you’re looking for a history of Stonewall, I really enjoyed Ann Bausum’s Stonewall. (It is published for young adults, but I am quite old and learned a lot from the book.)
