      "......... you know I'm not. You're the beautiful one here." He murmured, words barely audible. Where was this gentleness coming from? It confused him, but even more so her words had shaken something inside of him up.

Touka had taken notice of the distant stare of the CCG frequent in Anteiku. Walking over to the table he and a few others occupied, she slid a hot cup of coffee in front of the man, Sasaki. “Peppermint flavoured. A taste of the season and such.”

He didn't even order anything............. yet.                               Impressive.

"You're really reading my mind, Miss Touka." He reached for the cup, fingers curling around it and absorbing its warmth. "May I try something on you before you leave?" A pause, he was steeling himself.

"I woke up this morning with a piece of lettuce sticking out of my ear..... turns out, that was just the tip of the iceberg."

( Wow look at that first milestone - the first of many my dear friends! I know this wasn't really a milestone but it was the closest one I managed to get on this blog and whatever im pretty damn proud of it!  Though it means alot to me, let me stress that, this Oc took some time and I am really appreciative that you all welcome him so warmly. To: Kaneki [MSG]:Did you manage to make such bad coffee that it clogged the sink? It's half full of coffee and grounds. I will kill you next time I see you.

To: Touka-chan [MSG]: ...Touka, it's 2 in the morning. What are you even doing still being up at the café? I'm sorry about the sink and kill me all you want but you should probably get some rest.

She could get lost in his carefree smile, the one who didn’t seem to realise there was a past he’d forgotten, or one he’d likely rather forget. Touka had to fight dropping her guard completely and falling into Kaneki, or Haise, or who ever this person was that was both her friend and so happy. Was Kaneki every this happy and satisified with life? She couldn’t be so lax, she needed to protect him, as she always tried to.

"Well, you get coffee here, not a permanent seat, that would just be creepy." Touka turned away, needing to reinforce herself mentally, not do anything that could possibly break the case that was built around his previous life. At the coffee bar, she made him something sweet, with vanilla syrup and whipped cream. A drink the humans seemed to enjoy so much. As she put the final touches on the drink, she looked over the bar. That man, dakr hair streaked with white, had the very same eyes as her Kaneki. A balancing act, that’s what it would take to keep them together without risking mentally breaking. Steeling herself, she walked back to his table, a small smile on her lips. "I have a break soon, mind if I join you?"

       He chuckled softly at her comment. Yes, that would be a little bit creepy. Leaning back, he tried not to stumble back into his previous thoughts and keep up his good mood, and kept himself busy by taking out some paperwork he still had to do and fortunately carried with him. He was wearing his reading-glasses when the waitress returned, and he acknowledged the special treat she made for him with little, low hum and a reinforced smile.

        Her proposal didn't make him smile any less. “Sure, sure, it'd be nice for you to join me, actually, gives me some excuse to lay off this paperwork for a little while.” He confirmed, nodding along. “If you'd rather like to get out of here after working at the café all day, I'd accompany you anywhere...well, after I finished my coffee, that is.”  

☽ ░░▒► He let his pen rest upon the page, shuffling aside his work as his phone alerted him to a reply. Time was well managed under his hand - there would be an opportunity to attend to his task later. For the time being… Kaneki was curiously engaged in the topic, and Tsukiyama was more than willing to comply.

The worst about seeing his phone alert him of a new message this time, was that he had an idea about what Tsukiyama would say, and knew that he was going to be right about it. Being a half-ghoul had fed away on his principles for a long time, making him see things differently. Maybe, that third world was caged within himself.

To: Tsukiyama [MSG]: But that means that if someone feels the desire to kill or wreck havoc or do bad to others, that'd be intended of nature. Why is nature such a cruel mistress? [MSG]: But that's like asking why lions exist if there are gazelles, I suppose: pointless. Thank you for the conversation, Tsukiyama.

♡Lately I haven’t been online due to school work, drama and even some gaming (guilty as charge) but surprisingly enough my left undone roleplays still managed to get me some new hone sizzles still.
