I got the job!!! Help me get ubers for work!!

Hey yall good news!! I heard back from the job and I had my orientation!! I'm going through training starting TOMORROW I really need help getting there!!

I'm flat broke and need at least $160 to cover transportation all this week and next week, I'm so relieved and I'm hoping I can keep this job to ensure I can take care of my partner and dog and keep us all fed and happy :) anything helps!!!

making a short post until i can get a new graphic made; rent for april was paid, tysm!! we have a few days till we get food stamps, but have a lot of toiletries and essentials we still need to purchase (many of which arent covered by food stamps anyways lol) . setting a tentative goal of $100 to cover everything we need (groceries can wait until we get our stamps). folks can send $ here, here, or here, and we also have a registry with some of the items we need as well if folks prefer that. thanks so so much 4 all the continued help and support!

My partners Service Dog in training needs a refill on their food, we only have enough for 4 more days, he's a large breed so he goes through food quickly!!

I'm waiting to hear back from the job I interviewed with and we just want to keep our big baby boy as happy and fed as possible even if we go hungry we want to make sure he's taken care of!!

what a grim palm sunday it is

not to be raised catholic on main but for the unawares today palm sunday. it's the celebration of the triumphant entry of jesus into jerusalem and marks the begining of holy week, or passion week, the week leading up to the crucifiction and resurrection. if jesus were to come today, as a palestinian man, there would be no palms woven and waved to greet and honor him. he wouldn't even be able to go into the city. he came to celebrate passover. he wouldn't have been able to. there would just be death, and starvation. murder, genocide. and yet christians worldwide turn their back on palestine now. there's nothing i can really say that others have not already said and better than i could ever.

if you are able to i think it would be a worthwhile commemoration of the season to donate in any way you can to palestine:

My wife n I need new phones for work! We're applying for jobs and mine is failing me, my wife is chronically ill, hasn't had a phone in over a year and a half. New phones are essentials as we need to be able to contact each other for emergencies!!

With my wife's condition I won't feel safe working away from home unless I know I can keep in touch with them and we need an income to pay emergency expenses asap, this is important!!

The price includes the first month of service, sales tax and activation fee

the situation in sudan is dire. allied militants are targeting sudanese people in darfur on the basis of nothing but their ethnic identiy. telecommunications in sudan have all but shut down, impeding access to details of the atrocities that are being committed as we speak. people are being killed, their homes are being looted, they're having to relocate to other cities--only to fall prey to militant forces again, which are going out of their way to pillage more and more areas. although it's been difficult getting hold of footage in sudan, the ones that have managed to come out have been entirely horrific. just like palestine, sudan is falling victim to ethnic cleansing.

ramadan is coming soon, and it's a time of selfless giving and kindness. as we come closer and closer to it, please consider donating to ramadanforsudan--an initiative started by SAPA to raise humanitarian aid for sudan. as always, even the smallest penny counts. if you can't donate, make sure to spread this to someone who can. this is extremely time-sensitive, and it could use all the donations and coverage it can get.

if you haven’t seen any footage about sudan yet, it’s because they literally have a telecom blackout, giving militant forces the perfect chance to go on committing atrocities with no one the wiser. even so much as giving a sudanese journalist spotlight puts a target on their head—that’s how dire the situation is getting. it’s important to elevate sudanese voices that are trying to communicate the severity of the mass cleansing happening in real time.

with that in mind, please consider donating—however little it may be.

What can be said that hasn’t been said for these ethnic cleansing, genocidal maniacs already? Fucking horrific would not even begin to cover it.
