I’m watching this show & this guy reminded me so strongly of Haymitch. So, after having drifted away from the fandom (not the fandom’s fault in anyway but just that life got to me), I visited the hayffie tag. It’s so wonderful to see that there are still posts on the tag & that @ellanainthetardis is still writing hayffie fics! I’m going to get right down to business & start reading some of Karine’s new one Christmas one shots :))

So recently I accidentally fell into the world of Korean drama. I just finished hotel del luna & thought to myself “hmm, I can totally make this into a hayffie fic”
I’ve plotted it all out In my head. Gave Jo, Katniss & Peeta their backstory. But when it came to writing it out, I was not feeling motivated.
This has been my problem for a few years now.

Oh, I don’t watch bates motel! Wanted to but never got round to it.
I don’t watch Korean drama but everyone won’t stop talking about Crash Landing On You so I started.

Like, this could be them. All the cliches are there & im only on episode 2.
If someone’s written a hayffie story based on this drama, pls let me know.
I feel that now, if I were to rewrite Consortium, it would have been written differently. Especially the part involving Effie’s pregnancy journey now that I’m experiencing it myself 😂
For example, when Effie felt the babies move and she grabbed Haymitch’s hand and he felt it too. ITS FAKE NEWS. I now know mothers always feel it first before movement becomes strong enough for anyone else to feel it.
Kind of need a hayffie fic where Effie & Haymitch are Bolsey training and recruiting angels.
Or a gifset.

I love this comparison, and it also highlights one of the things I loved about Endgame…we see Tony Stark as a dad and he is an absolute sweetheart with Morgan–but he is still the snarky, sarcastic Tony we have always loved. So often, movies/TV act like people have to leave behind everything about their “single self” and become a new person in order to be a parent; as if, in order to become a parent, they have to leave behind who they were to become “the mom” or “the dad” and that new identity defines them and takes over their personality. Not Tony. He’s a fantastic dad; his role as Morgan’s dad is clearly the most important part of his life. But he’s still Tony, still sassing his biological and robotic kids, still sarcastic and a lovable dork, still a brilliant inventor with the word “shit” on the tip of his tongue, still gives people silly nicknames…he’s still Tony. Dad-Tony is amazing because he is still so obviously Tony, just thriving in a new role that we always knew he was capable of (even when he thought he wasn’t).
