Some progress photos and selfies of my Sidon gijinka. I still have more details I’d love to add to it, but I’m proud of what I was able to accomplish for Colossalcon!

I hope she doesn’t mind me posting this but this is the first draft of the characters Senka (ShadowRam - Me) and Tempest (StormCrow - Josh). I asked the Tumblr artist Drei SJ to work with me in creating the comic about our two persona’s which she agreed to :3 When explaining the characters this was a quick drawing she did for me so she had an idea about what they looked like, and I just fell in love with this! Not only did she make this but she also designed the FoolsOfTook Logo as seen in the second image. Its a very symbolic image for us as the ram is a sign of Aries, one of the 12 Zodiac signs and the wings surrounding the ram are symbolic to Gemini another one of the zodiac signs. These signs represent me and Josh, Me being Aries and Josh being Gemini, not only as a symbol of our love for each other but apart of the reason we picked our online names ShadowRam and StormCrow. Ok so I know I already posted this picture but I wanted to go more into detail about Tempest and Senka’s persona’s. ShadowRam - Senka Senka means Shadow, and in the comic she is a Ram demon. ShadowRam was the online name that came up when I said I wanted a name that meant something about me, Ram was a focus point because its one of my fav animals as well as being the symbol of my zodiac sign Aries. Now my name is Shadow because I love having black hair as well as having strange liking for the dark, add Ram to that and you get ShadowRam. Senka in the comic is the daughter of the chief of her tribe who was brutally massacred because they had become too much of a threat to the king, only a handful managed to escape and while the others mourned she trained to get revenge for her families death. Only she makes a mistake when she’s finally old enough to get her revenge, meaning that the life she now has to lead is all in the hands of one particular Crow Demon. She’s pretty cold with a very rough and tough demeanour to her, but she isn’t incapable of opening up she just needs the right people to be with for that to happen, shes pretty serious unless shes with her friends but in battle just hope you don’t have to face her, those horns can impale someone with armour on so lets count our blessings that you weren’t the one on the other end of those.

StormCrow - Tempest Tempest is another word for Storm, and he is a Crow demon in the comic. Crow actually called himself StormCrow because he (I am too tbh…) is a HUGE Lord of the rings fan, and in the books someone calls Gandalf StormCrow, he is never called that again and there is no explination as to why he’s called it in the first place, so that was enough for him to fall in love with the name. Tempest is the Grandson to Lord Crow, King of Draiochta the magical realm of Ireland with an empire stretching out all over Europe. Being a Prince he was very oblivious to many things happening in his kingdom until a strange woman tries to kill him in his sleep, after that he decided that he was going to do something about it or die trying, which may very well happen. Tempest is a free spirit, he doesn’t like being bored but has a fun and loving personality, he’s really relaxed and doesn’t normally become angry, however his split personality Cyclone is violent, aggressive and all around nasty, this guy isn’t someone you want to meet in a dark ally way. Tempest is usually the one pulling the strings but he is aware of his split personality which is why you can sometimes see him muttering to himself like he’s having an inner struggle, long story short, he probably is. FoolsOfTook - If you aren’t aware of Lord of the rings you wont understand this reference. Myself and Crow are HUGE fans of Tolkens work so when we were deciding on a name we thought we should have it linked to something that we love, and low and behold LOTR came up. We went through a load of different things that was when we started quoting the film for fun. I was pretending to be Pippin when Crow came out with “Fool of a Took” which is a line from Gandalf, that’s when the idea hit us, because there were two of us we called ourselves “Fools” which was rather fitting and we became “FoolsOfTook”. So we have lord of the rings to thank for this XD Thanks again to Drei SJ for the image ;3

8’D Fills me with feels xxx

Senka ShadowRam (First Draft) I nearly died when Drei SJ sent this too me, I was so excited I could hardly contain myself! This isn’t the final design but its damn well close as far as I am concerned 8D Senka in her younger days - She was rash, hot headed, extremely temperamental and violent. She dresses like a man which even by demon standards is considered strange, she argues you cant fight in women’s clothing plus they make her look ridicules, this is because the last time she wore a dress was the day of the massacre and she always recalls how stupid she looks in them when she was a child, at 18 years of age she’s grown into her body but wouldn’t know she looks good in a dress or not, Tempest finds out later just HOW good she can look. She doesn’t really care about appearances, judging people on their status and how they act towards others. Her weapon of choice are two short swords, close combat is her specialty because of her immense strength and sword fighting skills, she uses the strength in her legs to give her more speed meaning that once she starts charging there is no way to stop her. Sneak peek - The Gaurdians

“Senka” The young demon lifted her head up slowly, her heart couldn’t bare to look at him any more, it felt as though it was being ripped in half, but her gaze couldn’t leave him. “Don’t say it Tempest” her voice came out in a strained croak. “Don’t say anything else, whatever was between us can never happen, even if we were from the same class of demons we couldn’t be together, your the prince, destined to be king, that’s not my destiny” Tempest hard stare never left her as she spoke, his heart wouldn’t allow her words to penetrate him. “What is your destiny?” Tempest asked as he took hold of her hand. “We both know that” her reply came out choked as she begged herself not to cry. “I wont let that happen” the crow took hold of the girl and pulled her to his chest, holding her tightly. “What about your throne” she didn’t bother to struggle, she didn’t want to. “Senka, you mean more to me than anything else in this entire world, if I had to make the choice of my throne or you… happiness doesn’t come from a chair” Heh, well this is a sneak peek at the relationship between Senka and Tempest who will appear in the comic, the comic also marks how the whole story for the book I am currently writing actually begins, so I was writing this out and felt like I wanted to share it, hope you enjoyed ;3

I could go on and on I really could X’D Senka is a demon, in a world where magic doesn’t quite work in the way we think demons aren’t the minions of hell, they actually protect humanity from the real threats that lurk in the shadows, because they need humans as a source of energy, the aura in which mortals give off is actually what fuels the magic which demons harvest and use as raw power. At the head of this is the capital of magic in Ireland known only as Draiotcha and its location remains a mystery; The King, Crow, killed off Senka’s family and clan because they had been the leading part of the army which had helped Crow with his take over, becoming too much of a threat he had them all slaughtered, taking Senka’s father, the chief, and cutting off his head as a sign of his rule. She escaped with only a few others and swore revenge, that’s where our story will take place. Cold and merciless she grew up with hatred in her heart and spent every second she had learning to fight with the other rebels which she soon joined with, she also wears men’s clothing as a sign she wants to be treated as an equal and as she quotes “You cant fight in dresses” Her weapon of choice is 2 short swords as she is quick but incredibly strong, preferring hand to hand combat she normally uses the weapons only when she has too, preferring to do the work by hand.

Note: I didn’t draw this but the characters and story both are! As you may or may not know, the comic series is actually the start of a book series I am writing and fingers crossed going to get published. A lot of the story actually focus’s on Tempest and Patricuis children. Patrick and Theresa.

This drawing was made for me by a really sweet woman called Clare who I met while at Ayacon 2013, so I wanted to share this as a little sneak peek of which direction their story takes place.

This is Prince Patrick and Theresa, daughter of Patricuis. (Yes Tempest named his son after his best friend) Patrick is said to look more like his father, with his demon traits and clan tattoo but harbours his mothers famous black hair. Theresa on the other hand is said to be the spitting image of her mother with her fathers eyes.

Patrick is the eldest of his siblings while Theresa is the youngest, Theresa grew up with Patrick demanding much of his attention when she was young, he was happy to entertain her, finding her to be both charming and a fearless little girl.

I don’t want to give away too much but I thought this was a nice little peek into the future. These two are in the first series of my novel and have a very large and important role to play so I’m looking forward to getting the story finished in hopes of publishing it.

They MAY also make an appearance at the end of the comic but we shall have to see ;3

So me and Drei are making a comic in which this guy is one of the 2 main characters.

Tempest is the prince and only grandson of King Crow, a tyrant demon who’s rule entices fear into the kingdom. A Crow demon of the royal family.

Tempest is cocky, loud, lazy and very cheeky, growing up as a prince but having no responsibilities has seemingly made him un careing about his pe ople or kingdom. But is that true? Under his cockiness lays a gentle soul who looks after those weaker than himself, he saved a boy from being killed and kept him as a servant, but its a ruse to hide their friendship, hence why Patricuis is so loyal to him.

He has a dark side which only a few know about, a split in his personality which seemingly will only listen to Patricuis, and even then it takes encouragement, but Tempest more gentle side is more dominant in personality.

His world is turned upside down by a certain ram demon who makes a move that almost gets her killed, he steps in and takes on a task which could lead to the risk of his own life, will he rise to the challenge or will everything crumble, leading to his own destruction and everything he loves.

Character sheets.

For anyone who wants to know me and Drei are going to be producing the character sheets first before we start on the comic.

(I say we but i just write it, Drei does all the hard work after i work on characters and plot, shes the one who makes it come to life lol.)

But there will be 12 character sheets in all, the reason you will realise when the comic is being made. You have already seen Tempest and Senka but just a note on which order the others should be appearing in.

Patricuis - Tempests best friend and most loyal of followers.

Aria - Daughter of the witch priest, she is said to be the most beautiful maiden in all the world.

Han eul - Wolf demon, one of the commanders of the rebels.

Arthur - Stag demon, book worm who works as intelligence for the rebels, said to be the oldest living demon in the world but looks like a goofy teen, is it true? We will find out.

Calazar - Elk demon, Arthurs self proclaimed body guard, he’s usually the one keeping Arthur out of trouble.

Gilroy - snake demon, Tempests sparing partner and good natured rival.

Nessa - human working as a maid for Tempest, her friendship with Senka may just save her sanity.

Pol - bull demon, one of Tempests royal guards and close friend.

Manus - lion demon, Pols partner as royal guard and friend, but more often than not is taking the piss out of his prince.

Nora - Fox demon, one of the rebels and Senkas best friend.

So this is who we are going to be getting character sheets of and you will find out why later when the comic is being made x

Obviously i need to speak to Drei about this first as she does the art work but i think this should be roughly the order they will be done in, they wont be frequent as Drei is a very busy person and has other things to work on so i wont be rushing her to do this. She has a life and other commissions to work on hence why the character sheets wont be frequent, but frankly I’m OK with that because the quality is well worth the wait and i think you will all agree with me xxx

Senka`s revenge

I wanted to explain more about Senka and i feel the best thing i can explain at the moment is about why she feels such a need for vengeance.

Senka was no more than 8 years old, which for a demon you aren’t considered an adult until your at least a hundred, so she was practically a baby in the eyes of the demons, when her family was paid a visit from the king and his guards.

The Ram demons were the most loyal and powerful tribes of King Crows army, but they became to much of a threat for the already paranoid king despite their loyalty, he had his followers believe they had conspired against him and had the clan destroyed along with secrets and spells known only to the Rams to be lost.

Senka had hidden with her 2 half brothers, out of sight of the forces, they watched horrified as the King took their fathers head as well as each of their mothers and other siblings and killed them all, lambs to the slaughter…

They ran as fast as they could through the forest, the eldest carrying her in his arms as the other ran closely at his heels, but they became surrounded, her brother put her down and told her to run after he had taken out part of the circle that surrounded them, earning him arrows in the neck.

They ran as fast as they could but then were trapped by dangerous rock face, her brother defended her as best as he could but he too fell as a sword stabbed him in the back.

The 3 remaining guards went after her, but they weren’t going to kill her right away, they were going to do unspeakable things to her and almost succeeded but seeing the bodies of her family, her father, mother and brothers, being so frightened of her own life something snapped, she picked up some of her brothers daggers and took out the remaining guards with ancient power coursing through her veins, through the veins of her whole family, but her rage grew as this power took over, too young to control it she went back to the village and began to kill the guards, until one managed to send an arrow into her back, her power burning out of control she didn’t feel the hit but was whisked off by another member of the tribe to survive, he out ran the guards and took her to safety.

She attacked the members of her clan who came near her, the trauma of what happened along with the ancient power still in her system she almost died from blood loss as well as lack of eating or sleeping.

Her master managed to stabilise her and coming to her senses she became with drawn and quiet, wanting nothing more than to kill King Crow with her bare hands, her master taught her everything she knew about hunting and assassination, becoming as feared in the underworld of society as well as she was in civilised society its self, 12 years later she is one of the leaders of he rebels against the king.

All of it for one goal, to see the kings head on a spike and to have him die by her hand, just as everything she loved had died by his.

But this becomes complicated when old friends appear through enemy ranks. How will it seal her fate?
