The Light Shock I Need
Wiggling my toes back into making paintings again with a simple thunderchicken, as storm season is nigh, and I am excited.
I’d kind of forgotten about how Daniel Smith Primateks work. I was so excited to finally use jadeite for something, but it does get pretty dull in layers! Good to know!
Haven’t felt super up for this in a while, so I’m just gonna do my best. Also my cat just turned on my piano and I think today is gonna get weird.

Took a break from aggressive sticky note sorting to finish one more of these. I thought I'd do this with really strong night-time lighting, but it's not the right vibe for this sleepy place! I need to soften up the building silhouettes overall, but these past couple studies have made a good start.
All Wrong
More ghost town studies. By golly she needs a name? Names are hard enough to come up with, but naming a whole dang town... Anyway this one was useful. This all needs to be very jammed together, haphazard.
I made a couple of doodles focusing on the ghost town. I settled on thinking about it like tatty old books crammed on a shelf. And then quit being completely obsessive about the layout. Tis better in this case to let the pencil wander around and find stuff ‘A’
