Hocus Pocus 2 + throwbacks to the original
One of the things I loved most about Hocus Pocus 2 was in the end Winnie gives it all up for her sisters, when in the original she mocks Max for willing to do just that. And of that's not the perfect bookend, I don't know what is.

Well, this delicious and brilliant fic has finally come to a close! I stumbled across it many, many moons ago when I jumped feet first into reading reylo fanfiction and it quickly became my gold standard for the mutual pining trope!
What's great about it, is that it started as a one shot, and the following 3 chapters are also one shots that slowly build upon each other, so that by the time you get to chapters 5/6 , the tension is just rising as a larger ongoing plot is established! Despite me cheekily tagging it as a 'one shot with 14 parts' it all flows so beautifully!
The alternating POV was a brilliant choice to ratchet up the tension... It's just steamy AF and so *chef kiss*
