ＦＬＡＳＨ．

she always plays her part well. with every endearing head tilt and perfectly charming giggle, she blends effortlessly. perhaps it’s the way she carries herself, with the heavy clicks of her laced heels to the confident, yet aloof demeanor. she beams to no one in particular. it was simply refreshing–––to be someone different on this night. she wasn’t angel of the oracion seis, wicked celestial wizard, but she was sorano aguria. she was just a girl who craved the pure luxuries in life, like standing comfortably in a crowd without scathing eyes passing over her.

of course–––that hope is shattered at the rise of another’s comment. perhaps she should be flattered that she was recognized. she was a well known magic power house in her early years and an even more infamous killer. a sigh escapes quietly, urging herself not to give a condescending retort. 

❛ oh ? ❜    a glimmer of a smile lingers, not quite complementing that mild sarcasm in her tone. hands to her hips, she shrugs,    ❛ i know it’s no prison cell, but you don’t have to act that surprised. ❜    

❝   WHO SAID ANYTHING ABOUT A CELL ?   ❞   CONFUSION WAS AMIDST THE ATMOSPHERE. did he say something wrong? was it the way that he looked? those were two common factors to his social issues among the public. after all, he was a rather large man with few smiles to offer. despite having picked up on the subtle hint of sarcasm in her tone, he was willing to disregard its deliverance for the sake of maintaining his good mood. ‘talk about progression..   ❝   IF YOU WOULD’VE LET ME FINISH, i would have said that you look. . . really nice.   ❞  

Someone stepping on the territory where she kept watch was meant to call her attention. Her duty was quite simple, even boring at times so she couldn’t help wanting to prolong her chase for a little longer. But it was surprising, new, to be found out by a human before she could make her entrance. She didn’t sense fear in his voice. A hero? Maybe, but not all strong beings she had met or seen were always heroes.

Stepping out of the shadows, the mysterious being greeted the stranger. “That’s not very kind of you. Most people at least ask who I am and what do I want from them.” And most people also don’t notice her until it’s too late. That’s funny. Perhaps her afternoon was going to be slightly different this time.

BLONDE STROKES FURROWED into the further region of his face; a presence complimentary to the intimidating set of brows present near the bridge of his nose. the blonde’s head pivoted ever-so slightly to catch a glimpse of the dominatrix standing afar; a gesture complimentary to the confidence that he exerted and the reluctance of giving his full acknowledgement.   ❝   IF YOU’RE EXPECTING KINDNESS, YOU’RE BARKIN’ UP THE WRONG TREE.   ❞  

Whip. Whip. Scaled tail whipping back and forth as she gazed up towards the male whom had asked for this training between the two of them. “ If you want me to break a sweat. maybe I should switch forms. Her demonic form slowly licking it’s lips before she closed those ocean orbs. Smirking as the dust settled under her feet, “ How far shall we go in this fight, Laxus-san?” 

The woman questioned the male before opening her eyes. The form Mirajane! Alegria stood up slowly. Webbed wings slowly stretching out as her smirk only grew wider. “ After the fight with the tartaros.. there were so many souls left. I decided to take them for myself.” Lick. Mirajane felt herself becoming a bit more confident than before. 

“ Now if we continue.. that’s your choice.”

❝  OH. . ? YA DON’T SAY. . ?   ❞   FINGERS TWITCHED in accordance to the adrenaline pumping through his veins. offering the demoness anything less than his utmost confidence would have been an insult. a vacant hand rose to his enormously flexed bicep in a confident display of his strength. simultaneous to the gesture, a surging output of lightning magic surrounded his figure. the overwhelming sensation of power radiating from the two could have only come from two s-class mages like themselves; rare and electrifying.   ❝  DON’T HOLD BACK ON MY ACCOUNT. I CAN TAKE IT.   ❞

SUBTLE HINTS OF ENTHUSIASM threatened to overwhelm the foundation of his suppression regarding such emotions. mages would commonly cower in fear in the face of his guildmate’s demonic form, but he happened to have basked in it. an entire field was dedicated to the two as they spent a rare afternoon training with one-another. the fierceness of her attacks, coupled with the determined look in her eyes, was a sight that not too many saw and lived to tell the tale. to say the least, she was a different person on the battlefield. it was almost charming; in a fascinatingly frightening sort  of way.   ❝   LOOKING SHARP, MIRAJANE. have you even worked up a sweat ?   ❞  

CURIOSITY WAS A PLAGUE. it could be best described as less flattering than a compliment and more annoying than gum on the back of a shoe. much like the latter, strangers commonly found themselves attached. the blond was fond of the shadowy environments that engulfed his figure in darkness. within it, he could feel the presence of another. piercing eyes threatened to straighten the tiniest strands of hair on his neck. a deep breath was inhaled into his lungs as he halted in his tracks.   ❝   DON’T FOLLOW ME. . .   ❞  

EYES WANDERED IN EXPLORATION around the fine-dining establishment. the blonde wasn’t usually one for spending large sums of money on a single dinner, but he wasn’t opposed to the occasional treat as long as it wouldn’t leave a hole in his wallet. polyester fabric rustled against his bare skin. the lack of a few fastened buttons hinted at the broad trail of masculinity hidden underneath. if it weren’t for the obvious scar across his  right eye, he would have blended in perfectly as a normal person. however, even upon entering the establishment, the blonde was greeted with compliments for his accomplishments at the grand magic games. attention shifted from the receptionist and to the isolated figure just ahead of him, brows furrowed, having soon softened into a single quirked brow.   ❝   --DIDN’T EXPECT TO MEET YOU HERE. .   ❞  

❝   ALWAYS GOTTA MAKE A SHOW. . .   ❞   piercing eyes darted at the hero from the ominous setting of a dark alley. impatient digits resettled on his bicep as the battle concluded and the villain was apprehended. he should have known better than to wait for a moment of vulnerability from the hero’s nearly flawless performance. emphasis on nearly, as he provided assistance from the shadows during moments in which her blind-spot was exposed. PFT. LOOK AT HIM BEING A GOOD SAMARITAN. he would have usually charged a fee for such a good deed. however, he was simply in a good mood. besides, he was only interested in stretching his limbs. by the looks of it, he would have been wasting his time and effort as the duel didn’t last long.
