Natalie Wood in home movie footage filmed by actor/photographer Roddy McDowall at his Malibu beach house on August 8th, 1965. Also shown with Natalie are screenwriter, best-selling author, and Vanity Fair journalist Dominick Dunne (right) and Ladslavik Blatnik (left), a gentleman whom Wood was engaged to for eight months in 1965 after she broke up with Warren Beatty. Blatnik was known to bite pieces out of drinking vessels at Hollywood parties and eat the glass, much to the horror of Natalie and the guests (which is one of the reasons she broke up with him fairly quickly). The thumb and tooth gesture the group was jokingly making means “screw you” (or, in a literal translation featured in a 1997 L.A. Times article: “I would not even give you the dirt from under my fingernail”) in Italy, Argentina, and other areas of the world.
