- What’s your favorite time of day?
Hmm.... I'd have to say around 11pm. It's dark outside, the temperature is cooler, the moon and stars are visible, and somehow, the world seems more peaceful.
- What would be the ideal place to meet your bias?
KYAAAAAH!! I've fantasied about this so many times...
Well, there's 2 scenes:
1) With Yong Guk:
We would coincidentally end up volunteering at the same place, probably involving little kids. We would talk a little to each other at first because we're both shy, but then when he sees my kind character, he'd start taking an interest in me, and try to talk to me more, AND THEN WE WOULD START DEVELOPING FEELINGS FOR EACH OTHER AND OOOOOMMMGGGGG!!! *spazz*
2) With Taek Woon (this is a little more detailed...):
Okay, I'm on vacation in Korea, and I don't really have anything planned out because I can speak Korean. Nothing to worry about.
So I'm walking around a city, gawking at the culture and stuff, when I realize I'm lost. But considering it as an adventure, I don't panic. I'm continuing to walk straight, when I see this cute looking cafe. So I walk in, parched, and order something.
I take my drink (green tea, I'm not a huge fan of coffee) and sit down at a table near a window with a nice view. I'm waiting for my drink to cool and looking at a map, trying to find where I am.
As I'm trying to decipher my map, someone stands beside the table. I look up, and Taekwoonie says "You're in my seat". Then I get starstruck and am left speechless. He then looks at my green tea and tells me that I'm missing out on this cafe's coffee. Then he'd smoothly sit down across from me and starts drinking his coffee quietly. :D
- What’s your most listened to/ favorite album?
Uh-oh. I suck at answering these questions. I just have too many favourites. I'll just pick some from the albums I own:
- BAP: First Sensibility (Thanks Bobo!!)
- VIXX: Voodoo (I NEED to buy this soon.)
- SHINee: Lucifer
- B2ST: Fact and Fiction
As for my most listened to, I guess any albums by BAP, VIXX, SHINee, or EXO.
- Why are your top 2 biases you top 2?
Time for another long passage...
DISCLAIMER: These are only a few of the HUNDRED reasons I like them.
1) Bang Yong Guk:
OMG, even his name. LOL.
Okay, so at first when my close friend showed me BAP, I was scared of Yong Guk because of his stare. The look he gave was pretty scary (this took during 'One Shot' era). But then, I watched 'Killing Camp' and my life changed. That rough, tough, scary looking guy who I saw in One Shot was ACTUALLY some sweet, cute, shy, kind, and funny guy.
(That part in the first episode when he runs away because all the cameras are pointing at him, just stole my heart)
Not to mention, he has the cutest gummy smile, he's so talented and creative, he's smart, he's masculine, his voice is pretty hot, he's fatherly, he has a heart of gold, and he's just so amazing.
I HAVE TO THANK BOBO FOR INTRODUCING ME TO YONG GUK! YOU'RE MY CUPID! ;D
He surpassed my ULTIMATE bias: Onew. Now Onew is somewhere on my bias list because VIXX screwed everything up.
2) Jung Taek Woon:
Honestly, he wasn't my first bias when I got into VIXX. I never really noticed him at first. But then, when I realized that the sweet, clear voice belonged to him, I became interested. So, I watched videos of his best moments, and OH. MY. GOSH. He was so adorable! He was just so irresistibly cute.
I couldn't help myself falling in love. His cool and mysterious character makes my eyes glued to what he'll say or do next. I found out how he acts with animals, babies, and soccer; his love of food, his love of music. He just showed different parts of himself slowly, making me fall for him more each time. His unexpected actions and words makes my heart flutter every single time.
- What's your favourite dessert?
Sweet potato cake! It may be a Korean thing, but I LOVE sweet potatoes.

- Have you learned multiple dances to kpop songs? If so, which one was your favorite?
Oh, I'm not a dancer. I don't have any rhythm when it comes to dancing. All I can do is jump up and down.
But, my close friend was practising Miss A's 'Goodbye Baby' dance for a talent show and she taught it to me! I gave up after learning about 10 seconds of the chorus. LOL.

- Have you learned all of a kpop song? If so, which one was your first?
Even though I'm Korean, I find it hard to memorize the songs just by listening (probably because my Korean's not superb). I usually memorize parts of songs because I sometimes go to karaoke with Koko and Bobo.
However, the first song I made myself memorize completely was 'Life' by SHINee. Great song. Listen to it!
- What was the first drama/ comedy that you watched?
My first Kdrama I remember watching was 'Full House' back in 2003, when I was in grade 2. I really loved that drama.... so nostalgic.
AND THEN WHEN I FOUND OUT THAT TAEKWOON WAS IN FULL HOUSE MUSICAL, I DIED A LITTLE.
- Has Kpop changed you in any way? If so, how and in what ways?
Yes it has. Here's my story:
So I kinda knew kpop while I was growing up because of my mom and brother, but it wasn't a very big part of my life. They'd listen to G.O.D, I'd listen too, but maybe it's because I was young, but I didn't fangirl over anyone. I also knew major groups and watched variety shows on tv, but I was never very interested.
I was born in Korea back in '96, but my family immigrated to Canada when I was 4. So when I was growing up, I was surrounded by Western culture.
In middle school, I actually hated being Korean. People would ask me where I was from, and when I replied "Korea", no one knew where that was. I felt embarrassed to be from such an unknown country. It didn't help much that I mostly hung out with white girls. I just ended up wanting to run away from my culture and family. I wouldn't talk much to my parents, and I'd be in my room blasting American pop music.
But then, one day, my older brother asked me if I knew a group called "Shiny".
"Wtf is that? Who calls themselves that?" I said.
He went on google and showed me pictures of them and said: "Yo, you're missing out on guys of your own kind."
I kind of recognized them: "Oh hey, didn't they sing that OST from Boys Over Flowers?"
"Yeah, they're called 'SHINee'. They recently made a comeback." He went on Youtube, typed in 'Lucifer', and BAM! Instant weirdness.
I didn't know what I was watching: guys wearing extreme makeup singing about Lucifer, cool dance moves, one guy's head half shaven off, one guy who looks like a girl, it was a unfamiliar world, but I loved it.
I then watched SHINee's 'Hello Baby' and laughed like crazy. I started memorizing all their names, and I realized what it meant to have a bias. Then as I watching more and more videos about SHINee, I found that there were SOO many more kpop groups I didn't know existed from the 'related videos' section on the side.
Most of the videos I watched weren't subbed. Luckily, I could get by with my slightly above-average Korean abilities. When I scrolled down and read comments like: "Please sub!" or "I wish I could understand this", I felt so happy and proud that I was able to speak Korean. I realized that being Korean is something to be proud of. Korea has kpop, good looking guys, Korean dramas, advanced technology, a unique culture, and it was where I was born.
Through Kpop, I was able to gain my pride in my birth country and love the culture. I love where my parents are from, where I was born, and who I am. I also love their guys and music.
I still love American pop songs, but Kpop beats it ANY DAY.
MORAL OF THE STORY: Don't try to be something you're not. Be proud of who you are. You can definitely find something you love about yourself and makes you happy.
- How did you find your 3rd favorite group?
Well, I have a 1st place tie with 3 groups: SHINee, BAP, VIXX.
I'll just say that I found VIXX 3rd out of my firsts.
VIXX: I was pretty late in becoming a Starlight. I heard about VIXX from my friends, but I wasn't really interested.
The first time I saw them was from watching the "Idol Athletic Championship". I was watching the soccer portion because Yong Guk was playing (and he scored a goal)! As I was watching, there was a guy I hadn't seen before with amazing soccer skills. So what did I do? I stalked him.
It turned out he was from VIXX. So I went on Youtube, searched them up, and the first song that cam up was 'G.R.8.U'.
Catchy song, but it wasn't very appealing at the time. So I exited and went back to watching the soccer game.
Fast forward to Voodoo Doll era. That MV that made headlines for the gore caught my attention. Their concept and music, the vocals and dancing, the live, WOW.
I loved the song, but I never watched any videos about the members, so I didn't get to know about them. I regret it now...
Fast forward again: Eternity era. For some reason, I really gravitate towards this song. The choreography is amazing, the concept is cool, and their voices fit the song nicely. After watching the MV, I wanted to find out more about them. So I search them up on Youtube, wanting to get to know the members through their 'cute/funny moments'.
And when I did.... there was no turning back.
So now, I'm a Starlight who loves Leo.
(Omg, my friend Koko and I fight over him all the time... D:)
- What is your favorite era/hairstyle of your top bias?
BAP: OMG, '1004'!! Yong Guk looked SOOO good in the MV.
That MV made me cry!!!!! TT
SHINee: I think 'Lucifer' is my favourite era. It was so unique and different. It's also the reason I got into Kpop. That era is sentimental.
VIXX: Eternity era (Voodoo Doll is a REALLY close second)!! I love just love them in suits!
I liked Taekwoonie's hair more when he had dark hair though. Be he looks good in everything! Even in an afro.
