Tall Girl Appreciation on Twitter!

Watching Tall Girl on Netflix. 5’6 wasn’t very common in girls in my neighbourhood. It was actually nice to experience walking around in LA because I blend in over there & get to feel invisible but really the best thing about it was finding shoes I like that actually has my size available. 😚

I love my height and also i’d be lying if I said I’d never felt insecure about it before. What typically gets to me was getting heels. I wanted to wear nice feminine shoes but they almost never come in my size and that hurts my feelings 😆🥲

My height was often one of the first few things family & friends would point out about me so I’d take it as my thing - the lanky one. It’s actually pretty fun for banter 😬

Reason #9 biadap. take one for the team, sial betul..but it’s true. I hit my head a lot on kitchen hobs & going up cramped stairways 😕

i lmao at reason #4. Little people. They’re absolutely adorable when they’re mad & frustrated. i love it haha. Giving them a hug to comfort them is the best because our proportions are perfect 🥰

Ah man..those first meeting memories are hitting me. It was so cute the way he arched his back to look at my face. Hehehehehe 🙊

In my mind I was like, “Yes, I am tall. I know.😌”

Tall Girl Appreciation on Twitter!

Reading this back a few years later, I’ve got to say, I don’t like the reasons as much anymore 💀

I can’t take “tall girl problems” seriously when any tall person is big enough to knock over anyone who talks shit. When you’re short like me and someone talks shit you just look like a toddler having a tantrum when you try to stand up for yourself. No one ever takes you seriously. I got called a midget for years. I’ve been knocked over in the hallways. I feel intimidated everywhere I go because everyone is always towering over me.

Invalidating other girls’ problems because YOU cannot relate. Sounds like a whole load of ass!

Your problems and literally everybody else’s is completely valid.

I just remembered that like 2 years ago i googled the average height in countries and i thought i would never go to the places with the really short people because i would feel terribly uncomfortable there but anyway guess whose 5'10 ass is going to indonesia whopwhooop

How delightful. I hope you enjoy your time there!

omg I love your account! I'm 15 and I've always been embarrassed to say my height even tho it's so obvious. Im starting to accept it more now I think. (5'11 btw!)

I’m so happy you’re able to embrace your height, I promise you it’ll get easier.

Is 5'6 considered average or tall? That's my height I can't really tell

I'd personally consider 5'6 as an average height. However. I base this on my surroundings and my own height. If you look amongst your family, you could be on the shorter/taller side compared to them.If you look amongst friends, you could be on the shorter/taller side compared to them. Generally however I think 5'6 is average. Excluding all other variables.

Fellow tall girl here, also born May of 88, so that's cool. Where do you find 36" inseam jeans? I enjoy not having cold ankles.

Wicked.

JEANS. The bane of a tall girls life.

I have found 36″ jeans (and sometimes 38″!) at places like Top Shop, Asos Tall (although be sure to check the measurements because they’re not all 36″) and New Look. New look are the cheapest and surprisingly their jean options keep getting better :)

There’s also Tallgirls.co.uk and Long Tall Sally although I don’t really shop at either.

Levi also OCCASIONALLY stock 36″ seems too.

Hope that helps!

This is the bollocks I don’t like. Like why? What’s wrong with a tall woman being with someone shorter? Kevin Hart is in a relationship with a taller woman. Pharrell’s wife is taller than him and still wears heels. Nicole Kidman was taller than Tom Cruise. Katie Holmes was taller than Tom. Basically everyone Tom has been with was taller than him. Rod Stewart would look at his wife’s nipples before he looked UP at her face (Penny Lancaster).

Why does no one see that short guy and tall girl also works? If there’s one thing you should take from celebrities other than whatever they’re famous for, it’s the fact that they don’t give a rats ass if their wives are taller than them.
