I know I'm a few days late with this, but today I felt the need to look back at my work from 2023 and how proud I am of my progress, not only with my rendered paintings but also most recently with my sketches/linework drawings!

In february I read my first discworld novel and it has been such a fun ride ever since. Thank you all for the hundreds if not thousands of kind messages you left me (I read them all!!). Doing these paintings brought me a lot of joy (and reading the books as well of course) and I hope to keep making them this year.

In 2023 I've put a lot of focus on improving my rendering skill and I feel 2024 will be the year of improving my sketches so I can draw faster and, most importantly, more!!

Also be prepared for a lot of oc stuff. I'll be living my best, most self-indulgent life.

While I still love his last design, I started missing the blue in his color scheme and I think this new version suits him very well!

Thank you!! Unfortunately I don't know anything about the glorious 25th of May yet, as I haven't read Night Watch. The last book of the guards series I started was Jingo and I haven't gotten around to continue reading for a while. I only know that it's an important date and successfully avoided any further spoilers so far. I'm aware that people handle Night Watch as the best discworld book, so I want to go in as blind as possible. I'm in no rush tho, I want to enjoy the series at my pace.

Long story short: there wont be an artwork this year, but maybe next one :)

Hello! Thank you very much!! :) I actually really want to do a fully rendered painting of Vetinari and Drumknott in the Office, but I can't say yet when I'll have the motivation to actually do it. Until then, here is a full concept for a Drumknott look (plus Vetinari for good measure). And I hope you're having a great day yourself!

It's not particularly 'messy', but I hope you like it anyway. A while back I saw the Nobby design from Peter Kothe and I adored it!! So this Nobby is pretty much his design :^) (less scrungly tho. I have to make him a lot more scrungly next time I draw him)

I tried mixing my regular painting style with the one from the disco elysium character portraits and painted our little gang of misfits :) they are super rough and experimental, but I had a lot of fun with them!

I'd like to sketch some more silly things but I'm lacking ideas at the moment. Do you have something you'd like to see me draw? Can be discworld related, but not a must :) (keep in mind that I haven't read all the books yet, so please keep it spoiler free)
