Do you know how reassuring it is to return to Tumblr after a hiatus and still find Hiddles all over your dash?

Love in a High-Rise Elevator

TITLE OF THE STORY: Love in a High-Rise Elevator

CHAPTER NUMBER/ONE SHOT: One shot

WHICH TOM/CHARACTER: Dr. Robert Laing

GENRE: Smu/Erotica

FIC SUMMARY: Imagine J.G. Ballard or Ben Wheatley adding a character in the High Rise, Dawn Royal, daughter of Anthony Royal. She would meet Robert Laing at a certain party. What would happen?

RATING: M/NSFW+18

WARNINGS/TRIGGERS/AUTHOR NOTES: Oral sex, fingering, straight sex. As I haven’t been writing on my own for a long time (a longer joint venture story is under preparation, but hush) sorry, unwillingly, I might have drowned in a smutty smut.

NOTES/ADVERTISEMENTS:  As recently, an exchange on how an OFC should look in a Hiddles fanfiction was being reblogged around. Here, I choose not to describe my female character, you can see her as you like. Thanks to my beta-readers @quoting-shakespeare-to-ducks and @deathbyukmen. This story is also available on AO3. If you wish, you can check my master post here.

He looked lost and somehow desperate. He appeared out of place. In her eyes, he was crisp as an altar boy wearing his Sunday velvet suit. The fabric perfectly tailored to fit his athletic frame was cheap compared to the businessmen she was accustomed to. His immaculate shoes clumsily sank into the white fleece carpet, making his walk less confident than such a handsome man should own. He was like a panhandler begging for recognition. Well-mannered, he’d thought to bring the usual complimentary gift, a bottle of Riesling. He carried it like a trophy. Yet, he would lose the battle against the expensive French champagne bubbling into the crystal glasses. She pitied him.

The new man entering the party was apparently Dr. Robert Laing. She had heard of the charming tall doctor, with his stunning blue eyes and blond hair. He was discreet and as well-favoured as people described him. Yet he was even more appealing than she’d expected. He embodied the real people living in the lower levels; those who were mocked by people on her level, but with whom she dreamed of escaping.

Betrayal - Broadway experience

First of all, do not attempt to take a shuttle bus from JFK into Midtown Manhattan on a Friday during rush hour. I thought I'd have plenty of time, but as it was I barely made it to my hotel in time to freshen up before the show.

Second, I highly recommend the hotel Row NYC if you can afford it. It's mid-priced for the location, and well worth it for the convenience and nice amenities.

Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre is lovely and classic. Great acoustics. Friendly staff. I had front row seats, but in retrospect I would have sat a couple of rows back to reduce neck strain. (I had to look up to see the action, but then again I could practically smell Tom, count Charlie's dimples, and see the sparkle in the eyes of Zawe).

The play is strikingly and spartanly staged, as many have mentioned. I liked that because it put the focus on the actors.

I don't know if I can gush enough about the performance and how it affected me. I'm still thinking of it, and that trail of broken hearts, days after.

I came to see Tom, and fell in love with Zawe. Seeing Tom live was like looking into the sun. Charlie's timing was impeccable and he's adorable. But Zawe, to me, carried the story in her heart and in her portrayal. Officially a fangirl for her now.

This is all very matter of fact as a retelling, but I still haven't processed everything!

I'm going to see Betrayal!

After how many years of being a fan of Tom Hiddleston, I get to see him perform live.

I'm flying to NYC from Seattle Friday October 25, seeing the play that night, probably dying from the thrill.

Dimash Kudaibergen

Dimash Kudaibergen is the best singer i’ve ever heard. he doesn’t only have a wide vocal range (6 octaves) and a perfect technique, he also is able to convey emotion every time he grabs a microphone. he could be singing Happy Birthday and i would be totally mesmerized, also he doesn’t restrict himself to one type of style or one type of way to hit a certain note, he sings in so many different ways and his voice is so versatile. that man deserves all the praise he’s gotten so far, even the claim that he’s one of the best singers the world has ever had the pleasure to hear because it’s true and everyone who’s given him a chance would agree. has a one in a billion kind of voice and artistry

I love him so much, that I’m flying from Seattle to NYC (twice!) in the next few months to watch his performances.

There were never strawberries like the ones we had that sultry afternoon sitting on the step of the open french window facing each other your knees held in mine the blue plates in our laps the strawberries glistening in the hot sunlight we dipped them in sugar looking at each other not hurrying the feast for one to come the empty plates laid on the stone together with the two forks crossed and I bent towards you sweet in that air in my arms abandoned like a child from your eager mouth the taste of strawberries in my memory lean back again let me love you
let the sun beat on our forgetfulness one hour of all the heat intense and summer lightning on the Kilpatrick hills
let the storm wash the plates
