Quinn: I have an itinerary, of course.
Quinn: Celia knows we're going, but I'm surprising her with Disney Land in Paris.
Quinn: A chance to actually relax and do what we want. It's exciting.
Jason: Of course. I expect pictures sent my way of all the fun.
Jason: She is going to love that. She so seems like the Disney type.
Jason: A chance to do what we want. My brain is still processing.

Quinn: No to her brothers, silly.
Quinn: But thank you for the words of advice, I'm sure it'll all be fine.
Quinn: Though I am looking forward to alone time with Celia in Europe to just relax and to seeing you and Billie later this Summer.
Jason: Oh. Ignore me. I thought it was a weird question.
Jason: Do you have a Europe itinerary or just playing it by ear?
Jason: I'm looking forward to relaxing with you two too. We didn't get to do that too much at school.

Quinn: Well now I'm curious. what would you have me say to them?
Quinn: It's her father I'm worried about, but I'm sure I'll be fine.
Jason: To her parents?
Jason: I'd let them know you strive to be the best and that's what you want in your claim. It shows in your cuff from Miss Roselle, your titles, and your presidency.
Jason: You also chose Celia. Of all the people she's the one and you wouldn't make that choice hapazardly.
Jason: I don't know her dad, and from Harrison I can see why he'd worry you, but ten minutes with you and he's going to know you'll take care of Celia and make sure she's a good submissive.
Jason: Can't be any worse than standing in front of Miss Roselle right?

Quinn: I'm sure my mom will be excited to hear from you.
Quinn: It will be jam packed indeed. But it's like stretching your legs after being scrunched for so long. I will enjoy every part of it.
Quinn: You mean besides her brothers? No, I haven't.
Jason: Your mom is great.
Jason: I know what you mean. Except for me it's more like I can finally breathe without so many things pressing in.
Jason: I just want the side open sky and ocean.
Jason: Are you going to see her brothers too. You should tell Hunter and, actually never mind. I wouldn't make you say what I'd say to them.
Jason: Good luck meeting them. Not that you'll need it. I doubt there is a Domme at Roselle with a more impressive resume than yours.

Quinn: I don't think I'll get sick of you. Tel your mom I said hi, though.
Quinn: Well, it's Baton Rouge now then after this it's off to Colorado to see Celia's family before we go to New Haven to try and settle into the apartment before Celia and I go to Europe for two weeks.
Quinn: Then I need to finalize things with you and Billie before my birthday trip.
Quinn: You'll be getting an invitation to that shortly.
Jason: Good I don't want you sick of me. But I'll be sure to tell her. Say hi to yours for me too.
Jason: You know I'm feeling very pleased I made it into your jam packed summer.
Jason: Have you met Celia's family before?

Quinn: I gave you that tablet for a reason, remember? As soon as I'm in my apartment in New Haven, we will have that Skype coffee date.
Quinn: I'm sure you're going to be busy with beach going once you get home though.
Jason: True that tablet is perfect for Skype. You were thinking so ahead.
Jason: You are going to get so many beach pictures you are going to get sick of me.
Jason: Beach and my mom's food. Those are my big plans until our vacation. What about you?

Quinn: Well, that's price to pay for having to fly across the entire continent.
Quinn: Are you excited?
Jason: So excited. I might look like a crazy tourist person on this plane.
Jason: Almost makes up for not being able to do morning coffee with you.
Jason: Almost.

Quinn: Safely landed in Baton Rouge. It's nothing like being back home.
Quinn: How are you?
Jason: Yay, I'm jealous you're there.
Jason: I have this last layover to get through. But I can practically smell the beach.
Jason: It's been three years. Crazy.

On the Grass || Jinn || 5/24/15

A squeal left Quinn’s lips as she felt Jason’s arms wrap around her and pull her into a twirl. Even though she should have been expecting it, she was caught entirely off guard and and tightened her arms around Jason’s hold instinctively. As she was set down, she found that one of her hands was still caught in his grip, making the decision for her to follow him even further into the grass. Taking a page out of his book, Quinn waited until they were completely immersed in the tall grass of the field and tackled Jason unexpectedly, causing them both to fall into the grass surrounded by the grass and the dust that was pushed into the air from their fall.

From this position, the sun could barely be seen and the slow appearance of the lightning bugs could be seen hidden in the grass.

Jason was caught off guard by Quinn’s tackle, a cry of surprise shooting form his mouth as he let them fall to the ground. He was sure to curl and break their fall, Quinn on top of him. He laughed long and hard. “You Quinn Fabray are sneaky and complete trouble.” Also completely sentimental, he thought. He turned his head to the right, the slight flicker of lightening bugs appearing. Reaching out he snagged one in his cupped hand bringing it closer to each of their faces before releasing it. He watched it fly until it flitted away, his eyes then finding Quinn’s light ones, last remnants of light somehow finding them and shining there. “Looks like we couldn’t have run around catching them this time anyway,” Jason teased, smile soft as he brushed at Quinn’s hair. He felt peacefully content to lay in the grass like this with her, an easy stillness and swell of affection suddenly washing over him. One hand tightened on her hip, as if he could hold Quinn there in that moment as long as time would allow. “You’re stuck here with me for a little longer,” Jason declared.

Quinn pushed her food back, declaring her being done with her meal and continued to sip at her coffee, nodding in agreement at his mention of their depleting coffee supply. “I think we’ll survive. Also, to be fair, that just means you’re going to have to come back to my suite for coffee after. And no jars? No problem. We just have to come down here next weekend and get some fireflies in a jar.” At the mention of their distance, Quinn froze, unwilling to show just how much it affected her and she just continued to smile, appreciating how Jason didn’t allow them to dwell on their inevitable separation. “Yale is in New Haven Connecticut. It’s in between New York and Rhode Island. So, I’ll be going to the city quite a bit. Or at least I hope to, visit Eli and anyone else who ends up there. But California is going to be a priority of course. And don’t worry about the fireflies, I send you some.” As the sun was setting even lower in the sky, Quinn was getting antsy and stood up slipping her shoes off as she did so and making her way to the grass. “So are you coming?” Quinn asked as her bare feet touched the cool grass.

“You have me there. Your suite after and repeat on this next week for fireflies,” Jason agreed easily. Packing in time with Quinn was one of his top priorities now before graduation. His lip jutted out in a little pout, realizing Eli would probably get to see more of Quinn than he would but his face brightened when Quinn said she’d send him fireflies. He wasn’t sure on logistics, but if anyone could figure it out it was Quinn. Jason scrambled to his feet, grabbing the corner of the sandwich Quinn didn’t finish and popping it into his mouth. He mumbled some affirmation around the food and joined Quinn, arms slipping around her and squeezing affectionately. One quick lift and a twirl and he’d put her down beside him, grinning. She surely had known that was coming from him. “Sorry I couldn’t resist. No more sneak attacks. Probably,” he shrugged and backed his way into the grass to find a good open spot, keeping hold of one of Quinn’s hands and pulling her along.

Quinn simply smiled as Jason pressed a kiss to her cheek and leaned into him as she began to eat away at her own sandwich. With the array of coffee, good food, and perfect company, Quinn could feel all the stress from the week start to fall off of her shoulders. Covering her mouth, Quinn finished chewing on her food and took a sip to wash it down before opening her mouth to say anything. “I think that could be arranged. Are you content with laying in the grass with me until the sun sets?” It was a late lunch, but Quinn had already finished everything she needed to do that day and she was more than willing to spend the rest of the afternoon lazing around in the grass with Jason. “It’s a shame I didn’t bring any jars with me.”

Jason flipped over his phone like the time would let him know when the sun would be setting, though the details hardly mattered. “I’m always happy to lay in the grass with you,” Jason replied, the word content accurately describing how afternoons like this always felt. There was nothing that needed to be added or changed. It just was simple and calm. “Had I known we were staying longer I would have made bigger coffees. We’ll have to make do with no jars and less caffeine.” He took a large bite of his sandwich, devouring almost half of it. Even with his double portion of food he was a fast eater. “You know, I’m going to miss fireflies. One thing California doesn’t give me. Well and you,” Jason added with a grin, not letting the idea of distance from Quinn allow melancholy to seep into their afternoon. “All the more reason to visit... where is Yale again?” State geography was never Jason’s strong suit if beaches were not involved.

Quinn leaned back, elbows digging into the grass as the sun washed over her face. She couldn’t remember the last time she was able to relax and lay out in the sun and just took the time before Jason arrived to enjoy it. The sound of his feet pushing through the grass was the first indicator of his arrival and she smiled and was looking up at his form before he even got a word in. Taking a coffee from him, Quinn opened the tupperware that had his pesto sandwiches in it and set it in his lap. “You won’t need to be stealing mine, I made you two.” Quinn bumped her shoulder back with his as she opened her own sandwich. “Thank you for the coffee.”

Jason fist pumped when he saw his double portion of food. “You’re too good to me,” he said as he wiggled in place happily with his lunch on his lap, cold coffee leaning against his leg. He grinned at her again, leaning to press a quick kiss to her cheek before digging in. He made a muffled sound of delight around his mouthful, poking at her leg once he swallowed. “You’re welcome on the coffee. I hope it’s half as good as this sandwich.” Quinn always seemed to survive more on a liquid diet of coffee than anything else. “Think we can sneak in a firefly night or two before we’re out of here?” Jason asked the field where they were eating reminding him of times with Quinn at dusk, when the blonde was carefree and outright silly with him.
