Hello there! As you can see by the picture, this was made my mom and I! I really love her more then anything in the world, and currently, we’re going through some rough times. See, we don’t live in the city. We live in the Los Angeles forest in an little community called “Lake Hughes”. Because of this, along with normal bills and rent, we have to pay propane to cook our meals. Since we’re so small, we don’t have public transport up here, so everyone depends on their car for life. Sadly, our car was repoed the other day. We only have ten days to pay it off and we need $3,000 dollars to do a settlement deal. This was going to be my mom’s last year of paying her car, which she’s had since 2007. If we paid $3,000 dollars by the deadline, not only would our car go back to us, we would never have to worry about it being taken away ever again. We wish we could pay it off ourselves, but my mom doesn’t make much money with her job. So, please help us with by donating, any amount is appreciated! Thank you so much for reading this! And if you can’t donate, please spread the word on every website you can!

GOOD NEWS! My mom managed to convince them to both lower the price AND increase our date! Only 3,000 dollars now! Seems easier, right? So please, donate quickly, we have eleven days left!

PreCure All-Stars and the Sisterhood of Redemption

One of my favourite things about the PreCure All-Stars movie series is its deliberate reinforcement of PreCure tenets. Each franchise in their own respective continuities speak the same message, albeit with different stories and with their own spins; but when they’re crossed over in a way such as in the movies, we’re provided with a clearer understanding of those messages that the franchise teaches. In All-Stars Deluxe 3, we’re privy to the relationship between secondary Cures and their leaders when the groups are separated by the baddies, and chime in with their own view on why they are connected with their best friends.

However, not all messages are seen across every PreCure show. Certain tropes are explored only in specific instances, such as the two series spotlighted in the above screenshot in All-Stars New Stage 2. After the other PreCure veterans are freed from their pinch by their Dokidoki contemporaries, a special moment is shared between Cures Passion and Beat and the protagonist fairy of the movie, Gureru. Gureru, having betrayed his school by awakening an evil shadow version of himself, nearly destroying the school and causing trouble for the PreCure themselves. He immediately comes to recognize his wrongdoings and desperately tries to set things right.

When Passion and Beat notice Gureru as the fairy who was with the shadow, his best friend EnEn immediately jumps to his defense, the two of them intimidated by the two’s PreCure status. Both girls turn to each other in a brief moment of understanding that speaks worlds more than the remarkably effective dialogue that follows:

Passion: If you work at it, then I’m sure you can make your dreams come true. Beat: When you tell everyone your feelings clearly, then I’m sure everyone will understand. Don’t worry, you can do things over again!

The two Cures address Gureru’s self-conflict based on their own unique experiences. Cure Passion’s path to redemption was set by her own accord, a goal to rediscover her own happiness one small step at a time. Cure Beat, on the other hand, learns of the happiness that she derives from being with those who stand by her, no matter what, and could only come to terms with herself by being completely honest about how she felt about her betrayal and what she truly wants to do as a PreCure going forward.

This particular scene is not only a nod to the fans who’ve already watched both shows (for fans who haven’t, their background is conveniently reiterated during EnEn and Gureru’s conversation as the girls head back to the main battle), but is also a reinforcement of the relationships that exist between the girls in different franchises within a single crossover continuity. They each come from differing backgrounds, and over the course of (as of now) five films, have come together to create their own camaraderie through specific shared experiences such as that between Beat and Passion.

The Pretty Cure All-Stars are exactly that, All-Stars. They collectively embody the ideals that represent what makes this franchise truly special. Even for those who seek to right their own mistakes, like Passion and Beat, their shared experiences make them both stronger than they ever were in their respective continuities. They are not alone. They are a sisterhood.
