We got a sneak peek tonight of #planetariumalbum at the #peterharrisonplanetarium. There are really not enough superlatives to articulate what we saw/heard. It should be a thing. This album at the planetarium needs to be a thing. I would gladly pay money to see/hear it again.
ICYMI: we played “Born Again Teen” on the @lateshowwith Stephen Colbert. Check it out.

Roscoe is mad psyched because you can get five of my albums, including the critically-acclaimed new release “The Fiction Issue”, for a total of $18.60 via bandcamp.
:D that’s a lot of great music for not a lot of money.

We need a little Christmas :D
Dear friends of France, Your country and your people mean a lot to us. The first show we ever played outside of the US was in Saint-Malo, about four years ago, at the Route du Rock festival. We will never forget how welcoming you were to us from the beginning and how we instantly fell in love with your beautiful culture and life values. Ever since, we’ve come back your way many times and Paris has become our home away from home. On the evening of November 13, we happened to be in Paris with family and friends when we heard the tragic news. No words explain the depths of injustice, sadness and incredulity we have been feeling since then. All our love and respect goes to the victims of this atrocity, their families, friends and to all of the people of Paris and France: we will never forget how fierce, strong and united you stand in defending your culture tooth-and-nail after such events. Now, more than ever, we remind ourselves of how lucky we are to be able to do what we love the most: travel in order to play our songs and genuinely connect with others, beyond language barriers or cultural differences. In this collective effort of standing strong with you, we have decided to announce and maintain our first tour in your country. We will be playing the following nine cities at the end of February/beginning of March: L’ Autre Canal Club, Nancy – Feb 24 Musée Automobile Peugeot, Sochaux (Génériq Festival) – Feb 25 La Vapeur, Dijon (Génériq Festival) – Feb 26 Le Noumatrouff, Mulhouse (Génériq Festival) – Feb 27 Cabaret Sauvage, Paris – Feb 29 La Lune des Pirates, Amiens – March 1 Stereolux, Nantes – March 2 Epicerie Moderne, Feyzin – March 4 Rockstore, Montpellier – March 5 We will be happy and honored to see you on the road. http://otherlives.com/tour Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité - Other Lives

London Debut
Freakishly excited to announce that I’m making my London debut on 16 March 2016 at Kings Place in conjunction with the 5 February 2016 UK release of The Ambassador.
Yes!
Elizabeth Taylor & J. Dean
“ We had an extraordinary friendship. We would sometimes sit up until three in the morning, and he would tell me about his past, his mother, minister, his loves, and the next day he would just look straight through me as if he’d given away or revealed too much of himself. It would take, after one of these sessions, maybe a couple of days before we’d be back on friendship terms. He was very afraid to give of himself. “
- Elizabeth Taylor
I played this album randomly tonight, forgetting that Sufjan makes a guest appearance on this track. I miss these guys, would love to know what they are up to.
First band I ever saw live. :D
nimiustakkun: You had noticed the art nouveau in my aesthetic… My top 3 favorite Mucha’s are Automne (Set 1 #3), Moon (Set 2 #4), and Iris (Set 3 #3)
That middle set especially. Moon, you’re just a ball.
#TBT when Paul Rudd came to see John Grant’s show at LPR this past Saturday. Here they are hanging out backstage!

Oh my word! :)
48 hours only! Joanna Newsom’s new album is novelistic, with recurring musical themes, memorable characters and a preoccupation with the change brought on by passing time.
I love this tumblr page :)
