So, as I said, I’m moving Cid to a multi muse because I need less stress in my life. not all of my muses are going here, but Cid is and his about page is done over there. The blog itself is still under semi construction but is for the most part done. So yeah, you can follow if you want?

I’ll queue this a few times

so I’m movin Cid to a multi muse blog. It’s something I’ve thought about for a long time, especially considering the stigma those types of blogs have, but it’s going to be less stress for me in the long run and that’s the important part. if you don’t want to continue following him, I understand. I’ll put up the link to the blog later once it’s done

“I’m here because apparently Gaia hates us all and wants us all to suffer.”
The sarcasm drips off her words with enough potency to knock out a Zolom as she tilts her head to one side, trying to ignore how the sight of the pilot brings back memories of her earlier days in ShinRa’s employ. It’s all too easy for her to remember those moments of intense heat between them, even if part of the reason is wholly to blame on the isolation of her old position amidst the upper echelon of management. Shoving those inappropriate thoughts down and away, a ragged sigh leaves her as her hand shoves a few errant hairs back and away from her face. She knows she has to give him a straight answer, but Gaia–she does not want to do it.
She knows full well the questions it’s gonna drag to the surface.
“But really, I’m here because I thought it was time that my parents’ house wasn’t vacant anymore. Or am I not allowed to spend the rest of my days withering away here?”
A brow quirks as she peevishly crosses her arms over her chest, the blond daring the pilot to say anything beyond giving his permission–though really, would his saying ‘No.’ stop her? It’s not hard to imagine that she’s still got a gun somewhere on her person, after all. Considering the general public opinion of ShinRa’s executives, after all… going around unarmed would be the same as suicide.

“Am I supposed to feel bad for your sorry ass? After everything you and ShinRa did to the Planet, because you come crawlin’ back to your old home with your tail between your legs, it’s all supposed to be fucking fine!?”

Cid was having similar memories resurface, things he wasn’t necessarily proud of now, things he wouldn’t do again, he told himself. Another thought crossed his mind that she might be armed. She’d be a damned idiot not to be and, really, it was Scarlet. He expected nothing less. But at this close a range, he felt confident that it wouldn’t matter if she got aggressive.

Besides, it was what he had come to expect of ShinRa. When it came down to it, she was still ShinRa, even if the company itself wasn’t around anymore. The company that only cared about money and would suck the Planet dry in their pursuit of it. That took his dream away to focus on Mako and profits. Cid held little regard for the members of the former company, save for Reeve.

It was just one beer. Well, that’s what they said when they started. One turned to two turned to three turned to five turned to eight turned to a number they no longer had enough fingers to count to. So their hands found something else to do.

Cid’s curled around Reeve’s waist, holding him between his chest and the back of the sofa. Reeve, as far as Cid could tell, had one hand down his back muscles and the other curled into his hair. Or maybe they were somewhere else. Cid was a little preoccupied with kissing him to actually bother with figuring out where Reeve’s hands were.

And we fly… into outer space. I float away, but you’re my gravity.                                             And we die to love another day. We rise again, and lose our gravity.
The music surrounds the blond as she lets out a low groan of exertion, her arms quivering from the weight of the wooden box in her hands. Even if she was only been able to salvage a single truckload of things from the wreckage of her workshop in ShinRa HQ, being the only one to move them up the stairs and into the interior of a house that she hasn’t seen in almost twenty years… well, the mental exertion of keeping the memories at bay has sapped her physical energy in a way she isn’t remotely prepared to compensate for. There’s still a dozen crates in the back of that pick-up, a thought that very nearly has her cursing aloud before she shakes her head and adjusts her grip. She’s not going to get this done having a mental bitchfest, after a–
“Hey, need some help there blondie?”
The sound of that voice has all of the joints in her fingers seemingly turn into water, that box falling to land in a jangle of metal–and just barely not smashing her toes, though it most certainly is a close call. Muttering curses to herself, the blond can’t help but frown, the expression more than a little nervous about its edges since she recognizes just who that voice belongs to. Really, it’s no surprise that he can’t place who she is from behind… not when her hair’s in a braid and she’s wearing old jeans and a t-shirt instead of anything made of red silk. She knows she can’t stand there forever, so after swallowing hard? She turns around, speaking as she does.
“…depends on what kind of help you’re offering, Cid.”

Cid had come back to Rocket Town for a few reasons. Besides his house bein’ here, his crew - the men and women who had been part of the original rocket launch - were still here. Some had moved out to Edge as they had a pretty good hand on building and rebuilding from the ashes ShinRa liked to leave in their wake, but Cid had grown pretty damn fond of the place. It was a lonely damn sight without the rocket on the horizon though.

He didn’t expect to see people movin’ out here though. The blonde had caught his attention for more than a few reasons, none he was going to admit, but he figured it wouldn’t hurt to offer some help. He’d just finished a smoke and was feeling pretty good. It was only a few steps before he was near her, though the closer he got the more something felt off. Shrugging it off, Cid asked if she needed any help. The box in her hands dropped, but was surprised him more was her voice.

“…depends on what kind of help you’re offering, Cid.”

Scarlet turned as she spoke, his name dripping off her tongue.

How in the fucking hell!? “You gotta be fuckin’ kidding me! How in the goddamn hell are you here!?” If she had survived, had others of ShinRa?

"What’cha need to interview ‘em for? Just make ‘em work on somethin’ and see how they do. They fail, kick their asses out. They pass, hire ‘em on.” Seemed simple enough to Cid.

Goddamn, at least he was coherent enough for names! He watched as Tifa curled up on her side and he had a piece of mind to remember that she shouldn’t do that. If she got sick while unconscious, it’d be bad.

Taking a moment to focus, Cid bent and tried to get her to sit up right.

“Hey, c’mon, shiit, ya can’t sleep it off here. Drink some water.” Goddamn, wasn’t she a bartender? Guess she didn’t drink her own hooch. “Tiifa,” Cid tried again, attempting a note of seriousness to his tone. It just came out slurred. Where the hell had Barrett and Yuffie fucked off to?

It was probably a bad idea to be drinking this much, but Cid rarely did anything that could be classified as a good idea either. Swearing, chain smoking, diving off planes with a spear, joining up with a band of numbskulls, and kissing Tifa Lockhart while drunk.

Hey, it wasn’t like she wasn’t kissing him back. Though, kissing was a generous term in this case. They were both drunk so it was a lot teeth and hands and awkward shuffling.

Fuck. Shit. He was kissing Tifa. Cid pulled back, alcohol swimming in his eyes but a note of clarity shining briefly . “Shit. Goddamn, Tifa, I-” he trailed off. What could he even say?
