Kisses! π These little girls were so cute, and I couldn't resist asking them to pose for a photo with me. My plan was to have them practice a yoga pose or sit in meditation with me, but they had other ideas. - I sat down to try to show them what I wanted, but they were more excited to hug me, kiss my cheeks, and braid my hair. The photo of this candid moment turned out to be more adorable and authentic than whatever I had been trying to create. - It's easy to get wrapped up, in this insta-universe I live in, in creating a beautiful photo, rather than a beautiful moment. I do my best, but sometimes I'm guilty of failing at this. - These girls reminded me again of a valuable lesson that I have already learned, yet failed to heed, many times, and it's simply this: the most important thing is not the yoga pose, it's not how we look to others, it's not making a perfect photo; the most important thing is connecting with others and experiencing life to the fullest, no matter what that actually looks like. - Grateful to these little girls for their hugs, kisses, hair braiding, and for their infinite wisdom. β€οΈ (at Wat Phra That Doi Suthep)
