that one post talking about how supernatural fans know each writer by name and have an opinion on them and it’s like well yeah. one was writing destiel explicitly in the last few seasons, one is on twitter in 2024 saying that he did perceive destiel throughout his time of writing, and the others thought it was appropriate for the night we met by lord huron to be playing while writing a scene between two brothers. like where do you even go with this.

[id: two excerpts from nona the ninth. the first reads 'You held aloft the sword. / I still love y'. the second reads 'When The Rock That had been made meat awoke in a body, it cried out aloud, saying - You.' /end id]

you construct the settler civilian so you can construct the settler civilized so you can define the settler colony as an inviolable space of civilization so you can designate the reintroduction of violence into the space as terrorism so you can paint the whole of the colonized subject as terrorists and, therefore, not civilians

I know it's not the worst thing about capitalism. But I do think there's something really *bad* about the fact that between lack of leisure time, lack of disposable income, and "hustle culture" mindset that for many, many, many people the primary/only way they are able to express their creativity and artistic aesthetics is through consumer culture. Buying stuff and displaying that stuff.

When like...making stuff. Drawing, painting, weaving, crafting, sketching is like, baked deep deep into our bones as humans.

But I know so many adults who haven't like...drawn a picture since they were children.

"Ugh my drawings look like a 10 year old did them."

"When did you stop drawing for fun?"

"...when I was like 10."

Never mind that art doesn't have to be good to be fun.

This morning at brunch the server came out and he was like "unfortunately we don't have ice right now because a server just broke a glass in it" and we were all like "no that's fine I think an element of danger at brunch is sexy and fun" and he was like no absolutely I get that but I still can't let you eat glass at my job

Crying because in 2006, 33% of Out magazine readers thought J2 should be in Brokeback Mountain 2.

Also Dakota Fanning.

really like the idea that brokeback 2 would have two new, separate gay cowboys on brokeback mountain, which implies either that the mountain is turning people gay or that it is drawing gay cowboys to it like a beacon
