Why wouldn't that Klingon leave M'Benga alone? I didn't understand why this guy insisted on being irritating and was convinced he was a plant by the Klingon Empire. Can we get an episode where M'Benga is happy and has a nice day and nothing bad happens? Is that too much to ask?
My read is that he won't leave M'Benga alone for a number of reasons that are in tension with each other - He believes he now has a righteous duty to bring harmony between the federation and the empire, and M'Benga is the embodiment of the challenge to that goal. On one level he presents this as atonement for his war crimes, (and secretly also his cowardice) but he doesn't actually feel *that* bad about the atrocities he's committed. He's mostly an opportunist. Bu that's why he is genuinely perplexed that M'Benga is so "stubborn" in his resentment - because he has almost no understanding of the horrific pain he's caused. Also I would totally enjoy an episode that is just M'Benga having a nice day.
BLACK HAMMER: THE END out now! To celebrate, here’s a wraparound cover Matt Sheean and I drew for the final issue.
From yesterday’s work. Black Hammer: The End starts in one week!!
Jeff Lemire and Malachi Ward continue the story from ‘Black Hammer Reborn’ in August.
Starship Troopers’ original motion picture soundtrack will be released on vinyl for the first time on August 4 via Varese Sarabande. The score, composed by Basil Poledouris (RoboCop, Conan the Barbarian), has been remastered.
Up for pre-order at $38, the 2xLP album is pressed on black vinyl. It’s housed in a gatefold jacket featuring artwork by Malachi Ward with a fold-out poster and liner notes by director Paul Verhoeven and Poledouris’ daughter, Zoë.
