Exactly, Perez Hilton and Cathy Brennan are rancid pieces of shit, but everybody remembers to not invalidate their sexualities when calling them out on being toxic motherfuckers, and when the criticism veers close to homophobia its stamped down pretty quickly.

Whenever Gaga says or does something shitty however, suddenly “she’s not really bisexual”, she’s “appropriating gay culture”, she’s “a slutty druggy attention seeker” among all kinds of biphobic misogynistic things, and everybody has collective amnesia that she has said over and over again that she’s bisexual and therefore a member of the lgbt community.

Shitty bisexuals exist, they are not no longer bisexual because they do problematic things, the existance of problematic bisexuals does not give anyone the right to spew biphobia and misogynistic fuckery. That’s not calling celebs out, that’s finding a handy excuse to vent bigotry and I don’t trust anybody who doesn’t see it for what it is.

Psst maybe the reason bi women end up with more straight men than with lesbians is because cishet men fetishize us and lesbian women vilify us.

BiRequest is a social group for bisexual and bi-friendly people in New York City (NYC). Meetings are on the 1st & 3rd Thursday of each month at the LGBT Community Center (address 208 W 13th St, NYC).
