Innes checked himself over and sighed. “For the love of…Can’t you mortals ever just take things at face value instead of immediately thinking about ghosts?”

He froze as he heard another mirth filled chuckle from outside. “Shit!” He ducked into a closet and slammed the door shut. “I am not a ghost!” He said firmly. “I’ll give you the short version. Innestratos, God of Choices, Doorways, Crossroads, etc. etc. You get the point.” He was shaking inside the closet. “Now act normal. Do normal things. If he senses anything suspicious, he’ll find out I’m here.”

You know, normally, See-More would call bullshit, drag the freak from his closet, and throw him into the hallway.

But, lucky for this guy, he was in a good mood. “All right then, when you come out, you’re giving me the full version… and we’re playing video games whether you like it or not!” With that, the teenager marched into his living room, started his Daft Punk playlist over, and started playing Grand Theft Auto.

Innes peeked out of the closet. “Seriously? Grand Theft Auto?” He walked closer, keeping a wary eye on the window. “My twelve year old son plays this game.”

He listened to the music and cringed. “Same taste in music too.”

He studied the boy in front of him. “Odd…usually when I bring up the god thing, humans forget my existence.” He snapped his fingers in front of his eyes. “Hello, still remember me or do I have to go through introductions again?”

"You let your twelve year old play this?" SeeMore cocked an eyebrow before shaking his head and continuing playing.

The teenager gave him a dirty look. "No, I got it the first time, I'm trying to play video games and you're trying to hide, remember?" He lifted up his left hand. "I got a vamp fiance. Supernatural really isn't weird anymore." He lowered his hand again. "Now, shoo, random god." 

See-More snuggled right into his arms. It felt cozy and nice. He refused the urge to laugh at Theo’s mock hurt and just smirked. “You’re good for more than that! Let’s see… what else are you good for… you make me happy. That’s another good thing I want you for.”

"You are far too cute." Theo remarked, once more placing a kiss to the top of the thief’s head, holding him close. He waited for See-More to go on and he felt something warm flood him at the answer he gained. "You make me happy too, very much so." 

"Well, I do my best." See-More mockingly puffed out his chest before nuzzling Theo's neck, having to stand on tip toe to do so. Height difference occasionally sucked.

"Actually, yeah, you do." See-More covered his mouth and snickered. "Ghostbusters reference. Best movie ever." He crossed his arms and was thankful he wasn’t lazy this time and actually put his uniform away. All out of sight, so he was just a normal teenager. "Okay, not a ghost then. Then what the hell are you?"

"….. That is truth." He smiled a little. "Thanks, Theo." He doubted anyone would actually come after him, but hey, at least the promise was there. He almost giggled at the kiss. "You have more purpose than just watching scary videos with me. You’re great for bedroom purposes too." He winked.

"You are more than welcome." He let his hold on See-More tighten, he was perhaps a little over-protective… and perhaps possessive of the teen too, but he couldn’t help his nature. However a look of mock offence etched itself onto his feature, an overly-dramatic gasp leaving his throat. "Really, is that all you want me for? Sex and recovery from scary videos? I’m hurt.”

Innes was silent for a moment. Then he hesitantly flew out from under the bed, his wispy tail trailing behind him with his hands in his hoodie pocket. If he had eyebrows then, he would have raised one.

"Salt? Really? Do I LOOK like a ghost?" He growled in irritation. "By the gods, ever since that ‘Supernatural’ kick, you mortals seem to think everything and its grandmother is a ghost or some monster that can be killed with things like salt and cleaning supplies." He raised his arms in frustration. "I had a guy who tried to suck me into a vacuum cleaner once!"

"Actually, yeah, you do." See-More covered his mouth and snickered. "Ghostbusters reference. Best movie ever." "Indeed we are. Besides, I’d like to see someone try to kill me, and they’d have to get through me to kill you." And he’d be damned if he let anyone hurt his little magpie. He nodded. "Yes, and you can cling to me all you need, I’m here for that." 

"How charming." He deadpanned, rolling his eyes playfully before smiling. Having a bad ass vampire fiance had its perks. "You’re the best for that, Theo. Keeping me safe from scary things on Youtube."

"I’m a vampire, sweet magpie. I ooze charm, or creepiness. It depends on my mood.” The beginnings of a smirk toyed on his lips. “I am serious though, I would never let anyone harm you.” He’d have their head if they tried. He chuckled, leaning down to kiss the teen’s forehead. “An old man has to have some purpose~”

Innes phased his head through the bed…well what was supposed to be his head. His hoodie was empty. “Just go about your business. Don’t act like I’m here or he’ll find me!”

He felt a warm presence pass by the window and it sent a chill down his spine. With a yelp he ducked back under the bed.

"Don’t open your doors or windows….or think any romantic thoughts…or sexual thoughts…or hearts. Gods please don’t think about hearts. It’ll lead him right to me." His muffled voice called out quietly.

"... I'm really not thinking about that. I'm more thinking about who the hell is under my bed." Of course, now that he brought it up... it was like telling someone not to think of elephants. Instantly they think of elephants.

But he just focused on gray hooded men and people phasing through doors. He went to his stomach and peered under his bed. "I won't... but unless you tell me right now who the heck you are, I'm opening the window and yelling for whoever is looking for a gray hooded ghost. Or I'll break out the salt." He threatened.

"That’s true. We’re safe from that." He made a mock appearance of wiping sweat off his forehead and laughed. He felt better now. "That might be good. It’ll be better anyway, watching it with someone. Security blanket."

Innes was flying through the air as fast as he could, his wispy tail trailing behind him as he fled. Shit shit shit shit shit! He was thinking in his panic.

Buildings whipped by him in a blur. He was being chased. Just like every year. “Why don’t you ever give up!” He shouted at something behind him. His only response was a malicious giggle as an arrow whizzed by, narrowly missing him. “Ha!” Innes laughed. “Suck it, diaper boy!”

Unfortunately, he wasn’t watching where he was flying as he shouted so he didn’t see the building looming in front of him. With a crack, he ran right into it.

"Oh…" He groaned. "That hurt." An arrow struck the brick next to his head. "Shit!" He didn’t have time to groan. He needed a distraction. He whipped his head around to study the building he hit. An apartment building. With plenty of people inside. The perfect cover.

He flew into a random window and started zigging and zagging in random directions, going up and down and left and right until he wasn’t even sure where he was in the building. Then he phased through a door and dived under the nearest bed.

"Hide me, hide me, hide me!"

See-More had just gotten home from a heist. It was actually successful too! Jewels stored in a fake safe under the bed, the teenager was dressed in civvies and was currently trying to decide what music to blast while he played video games.

Hmm... Maroon 5 ain't that bad... Simon Curtis, nah.... oooh, Daft Punk!

He hit play and smirked as 'Get Lucky' came on. All right, time to own some serious ass-

The teenager yelped and nearly jumped out of his skin. He spun around to see a... ghost? With a gray hoodie? Maybe a meta running from the cops?

"Who the hell are you?!"

"Then it is a good job you are a magpie and I am a bat, isn’t it~?" He drawled, allowing a grin to form on his face, he had seen some things that really would leave See-More traumatised, so he doubted this video would bother him at all, but he could understand it bothering the teen. "I will do… And then if you cannot help yourself and need to watch the second one, come to me and I’ll watch it with you." 

"That's true. We're safe from that." He made a mock appearance of wiping sweat off his forehead and laughed. He felt better now. "That might be good. It'll be better anyway, watching it with someone. Security blanket."

"Well, I heard it was freaky, but I didn’t know what to expect!" See-More looked up and pouted, although he did smile sheepishly after a couple seconds. "You know me too well. I’m not watching it today though- one is enough for me for today." 

"Curiosity gets the better of us all, I suppose." Theo shrugged, unsure of what else to say; the teen would get over it, as most adolescence did when they saw something like that, just like how they recovered from horror movies. "Good, because I’d have to watch the first one before the second anyhow, you’ve made me curious about this." He’d watch it when the thief wasn’t around, however, to avoid scaring him again. 

"Curiosity killed the cat." See-More was now calmed down, come on, it wasn't that bad. It could've been far worse. "It's on Youtube, go check it out when I'm not in earshot." He suggested, slowly pulling back.

Arching a brow, Theo could feel his shoulders shaking as the teen explained what happened in the video. He did not find the fact the thief was scared amusing, just the content of the clip. “No, you’re right… It wouldn’t bother me, but given what I am, those things generally do not.” He leant down a little, kissing the top of See’s head. “It’s alright, it wasn’t real.” 

Thankfully See-More didn’t notice the fact that Theo was amused. “I know… just… wasn’t expecting that. Video was called ‘don’t hug me I’m scared’… and apparently there’s a sequel according to one of my friends. Noooo way I’m watching it.” Okay, maybe there was a slight chance. Not a big one though.

"I doubt most people would expect that sort of thing in a video although the title ‘don’t hug me I’m scared’ just might have given away the fact it wasn’t going to be as pleasant as it seemed." Regardless of his words, the vampiress hugged the younger man tighter to him. "If your curiosity does get too great and you want to watch the sequel, I will watch it with you if it would make it more bearable." 

"Well, I heard it was freaky, but I didn't know what to expect!" See-More looked up and pouted, although he did smile sheepishly after a couple seconds. "You know me too well. I'm not watching it today though- one is enough for me for today."
