"Where...?"

Image

This was not the united world, Nazamil thought. For one, there were no unity flowers anywhere. For another, Nazamil noted as she walked, the buildings were completely unfamiliar to her. Which meant, she realized, that she must have ended up quite far from anything she knew somehow. But how? Everything up until that exact moment was a blur. It didn't help that she found she was aching all over.

There was nothing for it but to try and figure out where she was. So, Nazamil walked into the... town? City? Too hard to really make a solid guess when she couldn't tell how big the population was. What she did know was that, even here, it seemed she stuck out like a sore thumb.

She held her Bonding Charm close as she walked. Even though she was far from her friends, that charm they'd given her was supposed to make her feel like she was still close to them. Alphen and the others... she missed them. Of course she did. They were still the closest and only friends she really had. Maybe that would change when she got used to this place?

All of a sudden, Nazamil felt herself collide with someone she hadn't noticed. Since she'd been looking at her charm, of course she wouldn't notice the other girl. As Nazamil stumbled backward, though, she did finally see the other girl in question. A blonde-haired girl with some sort of butterfly accessory seeming to hold her hair up. The butterfly motif made her think of Rinwell, but only briefly.

"I'm sorry," Nazamil said, perhaps a bit quicker than she should have. "I-I didn't see you."

Image

{ℒ𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽} "Oh! Sorry about that. You okay?" Joule said while reaching out to the stranger with a smile. She was busy looking for someone that the person who was bumped into went unnoticed.

"I don't blame you for not seeing me, considering I am... small," Joule said while also embarrassed for having to mention it, cheeks a bit red. The girl wished that she was tall again, but without the rest of her powers... she was only now just a fragment of what was left. "I don't think I've ever seen you before. What's you name? I'm Joule," greeting herself with a smile again on her, just remembering that introductions was a must first and foremost.

Reason Joule was not flying was because she did not want to draw attention to herself. As there was a group that had eyes on her and the person the girl was looking for her a while now. So many saw her as just a girl who was just dressing up as the virtual idol The Butterfly Muse Lumen. Even receiving compliments on how accurate her appearance.

{ℒ𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽} Naiko smiled a little when the stranger gestured that he meant no harm, but there was a bit of a caution still in her. This area was still very unknown and it was hard to make heads or tails of what kind of aura this realm was presenting itself. It was calm and gentle and yet there always seemed to be some kind of lingering danger. That was something to be expected in lands that appeared to be the most beautiful to witness.

"I apologize if I am disrupting anything, I did not mean for any issues. Just can't exactly pinpoint where I am exactly..." the auri reassured him. Naiko would notice that there was someone else with him, a woman. A spirit possibly? She had seen many kinds of spiritual beings before, but was unable to make out what the woman was exactly. Now the auri was more curious about this realm had to present for her to see.

"Who are you? A resident here?" she asked curiously, while also hoping that these questions weren't pushy.

THE cautionary tone in the being's voice was evident to him. he remained quiet as ever yet took slow movements to close the distance between each other. if he was to communicate in any way he had to get closer. his gaze was soft and did not falter with each step. he held caution internally in accordance with his twin's warnings yet he did his best to exhibit a non-threatening manner.

it was only natural for a lost individual of the living to feel out of place in this area especially if they were unfamiliar with the customs of the spirit blossom festival. the veil between the two worlds was thin so it wasn't uncommon yet most who knew better would only keep in the safer areas as not all spirits were friendly. if someone wasn't from around here and was unaware it was only natural for them to wander off the wrong path.

only a short moment passed before the spirit was in front of this lost individual. his head tilted to the side slightly, gaze taking in the other's appearance. certainly this person wasn't from around here. thus he extended a hand in a slow manner gesturing he was about to touch her arm before physical contact was made.

« i am a resident here. are you familiar with the spirit blossom festival? » his voice could be heard in her head. it was the way he communicated best.

{ℒ𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽} Silent and yet he didn't give any indication that posed him as a threat. Naiko would pick up quickly on when someone was gonna bring harm, as they were either quick to make a move or give a sense of calculating an attack. The auri wished she was able to pick up on anything else here in this realm and yet it felt rather... secretive? It was hard to actually pinpoint what was trying to be told here, what story they had to tell.

Soon a voice was heard, but Naiko did not see the man's lips move. Telepathy it was; something that did not think she would experience again, as she only went through that with beings who acted as gods or avatars of her home realm. "The spirit blossom festival? I cannot say I am familiar with it at all," the auri responded while shaking her head. She had her fair share of festivals that involved the Spring back in Limsa Lominsa, but nothing like this. Now this peaked her curiosity and wished to learn more.

"What is it about? Is it a tradition here?" Naiko asked curiously, head tilted to the side a bit. She wished to know a lot of things, but didn't want to be a bother and overwhelm the stranger.

{ℒ𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽} Naiko couldn't help but simply chuckle at the response. She didn't mean to startle the young man, but had a feeling that was gonna happen. Since of course she was standing in his blind spot and spoke up the moment he was distracted on what he was looking at. "I do apologize for that, I really didn't mean to startle you," the auri replied honestly, even if there a bit of smile on her face from that bit of a scare.

When hearing the question, Naiko shook her head before speaking. "No, I'm just a traveler passing by and I just came across with what you are looking at," she said and then looked at the trinkets again. What was displayed looked well crafted, the auri could see herself maybe having a hard picking which one to take as a gift.

"Oh? Is it for a lover or for family?" Naiko asked curiously. Didn't want to pry on Leon's business, but couldn't help but wonder.

Leon sputters a little, plainly caught off-guard by the question. "F-Family!" The word comes out in a rush and with a touch of uncertainty, as if Leon is just choosing the closest approximation rather than what's truly accurate, but he looks almost scandalized at the other suggestion. "Marian is..."

Endlessly kind and patient. His only safe refuge within an estate where everyone answered to his father first. Someone he wanted to prove himself to. But they're not blood-related, and Leon doesn't want to call her a mere maid when it felt like there isn't even a word that could describe how important she was to him.

Image

He trails off, looking awkward, and clears his throat. "...N-Nevermind. She's family." And that's that.

As Leon tries to turn the conversation to less personal grounds, his eyes land on the girl's scales and...horn? Costumes are not something he'd usually comment on, but anything will do at this point. "And– pardon me, but," he motions very slightly. "They look very realistic."

{ℒ𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽} "Family? That's rather sweet of you, I to like to give my family gifts," Naiko replies with a smile. The auri would always brings trinkets to her farther whenever she went traveling and he would keep them all in a box, a nice little collection. "I'm sure she'll like it very much," commenting again with the smile still on her face. Now Naiko had the thought of looking for something to bring back home from this realm.

The thought was soon interrupted when Leon motioned to Naiko's horns and scales. "Oh these? They are very much real," she said followed by a chuckle. The auri pulled at one of her scales a bit and then plucked it out, showing the texture along with the skin underneath. It didn't hurt one bit, was loose anyways. "My horns also act as ears, the front here is hollow and my kind have keen sense of hearing," Naiko replied while tapping her horn and a hollow echo can be heard.

The auri was not offended at the boy not being sure how to approach her appearance; it wasn't like you don't see someone like her as a common sight.

{ℒ𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽} “It’s a pleasure to meet you Suletta Mercury. I am Naiko and you are in Eorzea,” the auri introduced herself with a smile while bowing. She wanted to make sure that Suletta was comfortable where she was and made sure that no harm will come her way. It was the least that can be done; even if this appeared to someone from a realm beyond their own here in Eorzea. Though they now they also had to figure out what to do from here.

Naiko thought for a bit, but was having a bit of a hard time on how to work from this. “Do you know exactly how you got here? Did you see any force bring you here?” asking curiously. She wanted to see if there was any pinpointing on how the new guest was here, just to get an idea if there was a way to get Suletta back home.

“Nice to meet you, miss Naiko…” The girl made sure to give her a brief bow after the introduction, keeping her hands in front of her at all times as she rubbed her fingers together.

When she asked her next set of questions, Suletta tried her best to think about what happened before they arrived. Clearly she was with Aerial, they had to be in a duel because why take them both if they weren’t already together?

Image

“Ah, w-well, me and Aerial were fighting a duel. Nothing serious, no one would get hurt, i-it was for school! But, in the middle of it, there was a bright light. I thought it was my opponent summoning their cannon but I’ve never seen anything that bright before. I prepared to dodge but…the light suddenly vanished. And I…found myself here…”

And it still didn’t make any sense either. How could a flash of light bring her to somewhere she’s never heard of or been before?

{ℒ𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽} Naiko smiled at the gesture and also listened closely to what what the stranger had to say. "A bright light you say? That appears to explain a lot actually," the auri replied. This kind of thing was nothing new, there was way too many moments of beings from other realms appearing before, though those moments were most battles. This non-battle encounter was a breath of fresh air in her personal opinion; a break from all the chaos that was brought along.

"Aerial? Is that the name of this tech of yours? That's interesting, never really came across anyone who would name their weapon," Naiko said while placing her hand on the mech. The base of it felt cold and sturdy, whatever the tech was it appeared to made very well. She was familiar with magic tech and yet this was made out of something entirely different and was very intrigued to learn more.

Giving Aerial a pat and focused her gaze on Suletta again. "Come along, I'll take you to the inn. I'll also make sure your friend won't be harmed or tampered with," Naiko said with a gentle smile on her face. Now was the best time was to make the new guest comfortable.

{ℒ𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽} The moon of the night sky shined brightly, not a single cloud to be seen that would cover the view. Naiko was unsure if she ever saw such a scenery of stars shining brightly along the moon, it looked almost like it was an illusion and yet it was not. She raised her hand up and positioned it like she was hold some stars in her hand, it was just so otherworldly. No surprise, the auri was in a realm that was not her, so it was given that such sights would be unknown to her and yet they always appeared beautiful.

Naiko continued to walk along the shoreline, hearing the waves crash and the light of the night sky reflect on the surface of the water. Again, the sight was beautiful and now she was taking in how peaceful it was. Seemed like anyone who passed here felt more and ease than uneasy. The auri almost had the feeling of never wanting to leave this place, but alas there was a place in another realm that was her rightful home.

Though the moment would soon be cut short, as the sound of a sigh could be heard. Naiko looked around to see the source of the sigh and yet saw no one. Maybe she was just hearing things, but that was proven wrong when she saw a young man in view. She didn't approach, unsure of if it was appropriate to do so, so all that can be done was watch from a distance.

HE took but a few more minutes to take in every little detail before he became privy to the presence of something that was not of the spirit realm. this time of year it was plausible for such a thing to happen, but seldom was he present to such things. this was when those of the realm the living treaded could reconvene with those they had lost, the loved ones whose souls had come to the spirit realm. a beautiful but bittersweet reunion.

his movements were slow as if not to startle whoever this could be. eyes as blue as the luminous reflection of the moon in the pristine calmness of the waters that flowed focused on the source, his face void of emotion yet ethereal of an otherworldly nature as he took in the sight of the other. he was not privy to what this individual could want or how they had wandered here.

his movements were graceful as the spirit came to approach this person. the echoes of his sister's warning of caution played in his mind, yet it was so rare he ever had interaction with one of the realm the living treaded. it took seemingly no time to approach this individual where he could take in the details of their person. his silence deafening as he seemingly stood there with expression as unreadable as ever. his hands moved in a way to indicate his innocent intentions. he was not a spirit to cause harm to this individual. he was simply curious.

They all seemed friendly enough, it was really her who was the oddity here. But she made sure to keep herself open so they wouldn’t become suspicious of her at any point. The woman reassured her that they wouldn’t touch Aerial, which also made her feel better too.

Actually, maybe she should introduce herself.

“M-My name is Suletta Mercury. It’s…nice to meet you.”

{ℒ𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽} Naiko looked around her new surroundings, seeing what the small town at the edge of Seinegald had to offer. The Auri soon turned and saw the young man looking at the trinket that was glistening under the light of the sun. "Whether that is for you or for someone else, I believe it looks lovely to purchase," Naiko spoke up while looking over Leon's shoulder, getting a closer look at what he was looking at.

Hearing the voice, Leon turns to see a young woman peering in his direction. Her appearance was eye-catching, with hair in the most unusual shade of pale blue, but what's even stranger is the glimmer on her skin that seemed to catch in the sun just like the trinkets around them. Are those...scales?

If it's a costume, it's a very realistic one.

Image

"It's not for me. It's..." For family, sort of. He's getting a little self-conscious, all of a sudden. Is a trinket like this appropriate? What if it's not to Marian's taste but she felt obligated to accept anyways? Leon clears his throat, looking off to the side with indecision written all over his face before his gaze drifted back to the blue-haired woman.

"Are you one of the craftspeople here?" This town liked to put on plays and made rather elaborate costumes, as he recalled...

{ℒ𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽} Naiko couldn't help but simply chuckle at the response. She didn't mean to startle the young man, but had a feeling that was gonna happen. AS day turned to night the man became an artist painting the canvas of the dark night sky scattered by stars that shone brightly in contrast. each night was a different masterpiece that granted those of both the spirit realm and the mortal realm blissful slumber. his work does not come without aid as he is forever accompanied by his twin, the other half of the spirits of the night. the two were charge of such an important and beautiful task there was nothing much more wondrous than glancing upward at his newest masterpiece and taking in the beauty that he could only consider the peaceful slumber of each soul that looked up at it be it mortal or spirit as the gratitude for what he did.

once night fully enveloped the land and the sea of stars shimmered about it only illuminated the beauty one could witness at such a time. there was a reason the time nightfall came aphelios would take his time soaking in all he did. most would not get to witness the beauty that seemed to bloom to fruition as he did, but such was the results of being the meticulous soul behind such a task. truly one for the details that others might find insignificant, he found breathtaking and fascinating.

while a man of few words, aphelios' actions spoke plenty of the love he had for each soul to look up at the sky and see the stars. a sigh could be heard slipping past his lips as they curved into the subtle shape of a smile. tonight was no different than most others: he wanted to take in the beauty all that more longer. it truly was a comforting sight to behold. he hoped those of the living that communed with the dead would come to find peace. such a time of year truly was most wonderful.

{ℒ𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽} The moon of the night sky shined brightly, not a single cloud to be seen that would cover the view. {ℒ𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽} Naiko simply just waved at the stranger with a small smile on her face. “No need to be afraid, just taking a look at the situation you are in. We mean no harm as well,” the Auri reassured the girl. This kind of thing always happened whenever there was an unknown sight and that lead to folks having to look into the area to see if there was any trouble or not.

“May it be alright if you can come down? Just wanna get a closer look at you,” she asked. This was just part of the process on making sure everything was alright with the stranger and whatever that thing she was inside of is. “Can I also have your name please?” Naiko asked again.

She gave the mech another little tap; checking on the material, but also being impressed with the piece of tech.

The last thing Suletta wanted to do was cause trouble or make a scene, and it felt like this was causing that. Going back inside would only make things worse, and its not as if she knew where she even was, so the teenager would make sure to comply.

“S-Sure…” The girl mumbled, slowly making her way down. Aerial sounded worried before, but they both knew it was better to agree for now. Once she got down on ground level, Suletta looked over at the woman.

“My name is…Suletta Mercury. I-I’m sorry for any issues I’ve caused. I don’t know where I am…”

Leon's latest patrol had brought him to a small town at the edge of Seinegald - and despite its size, its central marketplace is absolutely bustling and filled with unique-looking wares that he hadn't even seen at the capital. Everywhere he turned, there seemed to be a shiny little trinket, catching light in the sun.

Hmm...

Image

These seem to be well-made, at the very least. Leon doesn't have much of an interest in such items, but...would Marian like a souvenir, perhaps? He's just going to be standing a little off to the side for now, deep in thought, squinting at the array of crafts...

Suletta was confused, primarily due to the fact that she didn’t know where she ended up. Aerial sounded just as confused, the mobile suit lighting up as Suletta glanced around.
image
“Yeah, this…this isn’t anywhere that we know of, Aerial.”
Scanning her surroundings didn’t help either, but when she noticed someone approaching, she was a bit more hesitant. The girl looked as if she was inspecting Aerial, not even sure if she recognized her as a mobile suit. Suletta couldn’t tell if she was scared or not, given she started to climb up on her.
“A-Ah, what is she doing?!” Suletta didn’t expect an answer from Aerial, and she didn’t respond, but that had to be because even she didn’t know what was happening.
Was she a threat? Was she going to hurt her and Aerial? Or maybe arrest them? Maybe they got captured?
When the girl finally got up closer to the cockpit, and heard her knock, Suletta hesitated in coming out. Granted she couldn’t stay in Aerial forever but she could be protected…temporarily. She waited to respond until she heard her second comment, the girl choosing to hesitantly open the cockpit door to look over at her.
“I’m s-sorry, um, are you sure…? I don’t mean any harm e-either…”

{ℒ𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽} Oh, there was someone in the unknown piece of tech. It sounded like a nervous one, someone that meant no harm and yet was maybe unsure. This might indeed be a new face here in Eorzea.

“No need to be frightened, you are not in any trouble. Though you are bringing some eyes towards you, as you are an unknown source,” the auri said, but in calm manner. Naiko just wanted to make sure that all is well and there wasn’t gonna be any trouble at the moment, best to be cautious and all. No doubt that the soldiers of Limsa Lominsa would come over, as the figure was huge like a giant.

Naiko knocked on the cockpit entry again, just seeing there be any other response or if the person inside would come out. She though it wasn’t a good to stay inside, as it would cause folks to think that they might be a threat or something they can just blatantly attack to see what the outcome would be.

“No need to be nervous, I just wish to have a conversation on why you are here. Just wanna make sure all is well,” the auri said while in that calm voice and now with kindness.

This wasn’t some Warrior of Light business, she was just passing by and just happen to come across whatever this was. Naiko was always a curious one after all and she will not be satisfied until having a conclusion to what was discovered.

An unknown source? If they weren’t back home, then maybe people here weren’t expecting a sudden large mobile suit to suddenly appear in their vicinity. Suletta hesitated at first, not sure if she should leave but Aerial gently consoled her. As her monitors lit up, she reassured Suletta that it would be okay. Neither of them knew that for sure but nothing would progress if she stayed in the cockpit.

“A-All right…” The young girl mumbled, opening up the cockpit door, scooting herself a bit closer to exit out of it.

“Um, I…I really don’t mean any harm…”

She wasn’t sure how to prove that, showing the girl her hands. Though as she looked at her, she didn’t look human. She kind of looked like a…cat? Where in the world did she end up?

{ℒ𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽} Naiko was sitting on a bench, waiting for Shinjiro after receiving a text from him on meeting at the Scramble Crossing. She was about to take her cellphone against to text him on where he was, but soon heard a voice and looked up to see that it was him waving at her while approaching her. “Ah, now worries. I was gonna text you to ask what happened to you actually,” the young lady replied.
She wasn’t exactly mad that he was late, but just wondered what had happened and luckily Shinjiro provided an answer to the question that was almost asked. There was now a smile on her face, just happy to see him now and they can now have a nice time together like they always do.
“No need to apologize, it couldn’t be helped. Can’t handle something that is out of your control,” Naiko spoke with understanding. What was now important was just the moment they were gonna have together now

[~☪~] He gave a little sigh… as long as she was not too upset, even if it was just her being worried about him taking so long.

At least it wasn’t as bad as when the mental shut down situations where the subway was messed up because they had crashed like before.

“Well, I’m both glad that I still managed to get here and that you’re not upset.”

He straightened himself up, and offered his hand to her, “Are you ready to go? If we hurry, even if we’re a little late, we can still make it for the theme park.”

{ℒ𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽} Naiko nodded in reply, she was just fine with the little lateness. It never really bothered all that much, so as long the person admits that they are in the wrong and not blame the other person.

"I'm ready to get going. It's been a while since I went to a theme park, haven't been there since I was just a little girl," she said smiling. Remembering that her father would take her there whenever he wasn't working; it was always a fun time and she kinda missed those moments.

"Have you ever been to a theme park before?" Naiko asked curiously.
