🌱What Abundance Looks Like🌱 You've seen me dump some of my older art from 2017 here. This is one of my last pieces from that year. I was in a more positive, wishful state of mind. When I see nature, I see abundance. Cash flow is a topic of discussion when it comes to #abundance, but I like to think deeper than that. When I see abundance, I see #peace, #freedom, #travel, and #relaxation. That's what I see when I think of abundance. Does some of that take money? Sure. 👀🔵Stay Woke, Keep Ya Third Eye Open🔵👀 "Redbone" by @__childishlambino kept playing in my mind and one day after work, I looked at the Moon and I envisioned a wolf howling at the Moon and having all-seeing sight. All I could think was 🎶"Now don't you close yours eyessssss"🎶 not knowing that this was a whole ass #oracle. All I wanted was this alien-like self portrait with a wolf. I didn't know that my friends were fake, I didn't know that the wolf was a spiritual guide meaning to watch who you have close to you, and I didn't know that me pairing the song with the 3rd eye chakra meant that **I** needed to keep my #thirdeye open. The song was for me, the wolf was my spirit guide at the time, and my third eye was starting to open. Furthermore the Moon on June 12, 2017 was in fact a #waninggibbous like I drew and it was in #capricorn, just like my birth #moonincapricorn. 🔴⚠Protect Your Energy, Stand Your Ground⚠🔴 I painted this June 2017, when people around me online and IRL were constantly draining me of my #energy. So someone that I trusted as a "friend" advised me to make an "art spell". What I didn't realize was that the #energyvampires (a concept I hadn't heard of at the time) were closer than I thought. I was new to the spiritual community and I hadn't recognized my gifts yet. I didn't recognize my worth, so how was I going to know that people were siphoning energy, time, and materials away from me?! I created this piece to show myself having the power to "shield" the dark negative forces around me into peaceful energy. Plus, I was pretty stoked at the technique I did with the dark colors to make it look like an outer space black hole! 🌊🌊Abundant Waters🌊🌊 This is a collage that I created December 9, 2017. I would say that the year 2017 was a turbulent, but life-altering year for me. Year 27 included a mental health crisis, leaving an abusive love relationship and community, opening up my spiritual abilities, and taking a deeper dive in my healing journey. For this piece, this was inspired by how this year I was dreaming about #Yemaya alot when I was nearing the exit of the abuse. It was around Cancer season that I started having those dreams amd my intuition increased more. I was seeking comfort, guidance, and protection intuitively. In October 2017, I was able to move. By the time I did this piece a few months later, I had been living with my mother for almost 2 months. I secured a physical safe space, but I still felt shaken and startled. I believe that #abundance in this sense is being surrounded by kind people that mean you no harm, having access to safe shelter, being in your body, having the ability to be in environment that encourage your healing, and being divinely protected. I believe that Yemaya wanted that for me and that's why intervention stepped in. Now that it's #CancerSeason 2019, I wanted to share this picture to pay homage to where I've been and to acknowledge that, yes I am now safe. I was in an abusive relationship with a person that broke me down psychologically, mentally, and tried to control me emotionally and financially. I knew her since I was 18 years old and spent the majority of my 20's with her. Although we are not together, they affected my self-esteem greatly. When I attended a workshop on Fat Love and Relationships at the NAAFA conference this weekend, I brought them up and the facilitator acknowledged that the psychological abuse I experienced was confirmed that I was "fed bullshit". I'm not going to elaborate fully on everything that my ex did, but one of the things that she would do is make up rumors that other people were making up hurtful comments about my weight when it was her saying those things all along. Then she would appoint herself as if she was the savior and the good girlfriend as if she was the one uplifting me when I did the work to uplift myself all along. I realized that her actions still affected me even though I won by leaving the relationship, so my goal was to use this energy to release her. She no longer has power over my life. My #ancestors are handling her. #itsabovemenow and #iwon. This release ritual, I wrote everything I felt and everything she did to me in the letter rather than writing long statuses or blogs about it, went outside and prayed to the ancestors, and then I ripped the letter and burned it in a pot to truly let it go. I will follow up with #cordcutting #meditation and #cutandclear rituals. So today, I decided to take advantage of this #fullmooninsagittarius #strawberrymoon power through writing down my goals and dreams and laying my crystals out to charge outside tonight. My heart has felt so full. My Ancestors kept telling me as this Moon was approaching during the NAAFA conference "Be prepared". So I'm doing that. The key to this time is all about expansion and "It's time". It's time for me to live out my true purpose. The things that I get emotional and cry tears of joy about as I think about achieving goals and living out my purpose in helping others through being my authentic self.
