-terf

-truscrum/transmed

-exclusionist

-racist/sexist/homophobic/etc

-map

-anti-mogai

-anti-queer

-anti-kin

I will block you if any of these groups are in your dni:

-pro-shippers

-mogai

-people who call themselves queer

-non-bi mspecs (pan, ply, omni)

Other Important Information:

-My name is Corey

-I am 24

-I am velociraptorkin

-I am nonbinary, and consider myself trans. More specifically, my gender is dromaeosauridaecladic.

-I use they/them pronouns and op/ops pronouns. (if the link to the full conjugation doesn’t work on mobile, tell me and I’ll type it here)

-Update: I hoard pronouns now. https://pronouny.xyz/u/cursed--alien

-I am queer. I enjoy identifying with that term. I know it means odd, but I am odd. Currently, I consider myself asexual demipanromantic and diamoric.

-I am neurodivergent in multiple ways. I am autistic. I have ADHD (the inattentive type). I have severe generalized anxiety disorder that I’m in therapy and take meds for, and it’s also the reason I have most of my baggage, since my anxiety attacks present themselves in a way that freaks people out.

-Some more disabilities I have that I think are neurological in nature, but don’t normally fall under the neurodivergent umbrella as far as I know: Dysgraphia (handwriting is difficult to the point of sometimes being painful).  Prosopagnosia (face blindness) (I can’t recognize people by their faces, but I do know a face when I see one).

-If anyone ever needs me to tag anything, just let me know and I’ll be right on it!

-ALL POSTS ARE OK TO RB, UNLESS I STATE OTHERWISE

Not to sound to Calvin-coded, but was anyone else vaguely disappointed as a child that your parents had food coloring stocked in their kitchen and yet continued to serve you home-cooked meals that were regularly colored?

Like, don't get me wrong mom, these mashed potatoes are perfectly tasty, but I bet they'd be just as tasty and significantly cooler if they were green.

I read "Calvin-coded" and I wasn't sure whether what came next would be about childhood whimsey or how it's predestined whether God's mercy will save us from our deserved damnation.

Calvin and Hobbes is great and John Calvin can suck my pope hat

Going off on a tangent here, one year at Thanksgiving we learned that if you include one beet in a big bowl of mashed potatoes--I'm talking maybe 1 beet to 8 or 10 potatoes--they taste perfectly normal, but are bright red. Like the color of red Play-doh.

Except the middle of the bowl, were it's hottest, will be more orange.

Like those t-shirts they used to have that changed color. (Can't remember what they were called: it wasn't thermacolor--I checked--but something along those lines.) Anyway, like that, but it's potatoes.

Try it sometime!

Please return us to a world where Notp and squick are used for a ship you don’t like instead of just making up a load of bullshit about how immoral it is or w/e lol

a short selection of concepts and phrases that used to be commonplace in fandom and we’d really benefit from making that a thing again:

NOTP: the opposite of an OTP (One True Pairing). It is a ship a fan strongly dislikes. The word is a portmanteau of ‘no’ and ‘OTP’ and thus is not a contraction of any particular phrase.

Squick: anything that is a deep-seated, visceral turn-off. Squicks may be shared by many fans or be specific to one; one person’s kink may be another person’s squick.

YKINMKATO, or kink-tomato: Your Kink Is Not My Kink, And That’s Okay: used to indicate support for fannish diversity and to distinguish between disapproval or kink shaming and simply having different taste.

DLDR: Don’t Like, Don’t Read: a phrase used to warn against complaints about an aspect of fic or meta. A “live and let live” philosophy of fandom, which places the responsability for avoiding content one doesn’t want to see on the side of the fanwork consumer, rather that on the creator’s.

SALS: Ship And Let Ship: similar to the above specifically about shipping tastes.

YMMV: Your Mileage May Vary: a phrase used to acknowledge that any given individual’s personal opinion on the topic at hand may differ due to their own tastes, standards, values, experiences, etc.

As the OP points out, all of these crucially imply no moral judgment of what they’re designing.

(definitions lifted more or less wholesale from fanlore’s relevant pages)

bring the healthy fun back to fandom!

If ever a time comes when I don’t reblog this when it appears on my dash, assume I’m dead

PS “Trigger” also does not imply a moral judgement.

That post I made over new years had people at my THROAT for saying I only buy real leather. Sorry I really do think that wearing textured plastic that will fall apart in under 5 years and go on to irreparably poison the environment is the worse option here.

if you look into the mushroom leather or apple leather or cactus leather or any other plant-based alternatives, they're all still about 50-75% polyurethane. They'll still fall apart fast and then they wont decompose except into microplastics. They're just not sustainable. I thrift pretty much all my leather garments and some of them are 30 years old and still hold up like they're new. Like there's no contest.

If Pro-Lifers really cared so much about kids, then they would understand that sometimes the kindest thing someone can do for children is to never have them.
