the thing is when I first read twilight i was still v much in my formative years, i was a kid.
I hated sam and didn’t like or feel for emily, hated the way the pack treated Leah, & felt bad she was a sore thumb. i was curious about her story and why she was the only known female to shift.
i thought all of Leah’s traumatic experiences were a way to make us feel more sympathetic to her character. I thought it was sm*yers way of showing us her strength that the world tried to break her and she refused to be broken.
now i’m older and understand that sm*yer just hates women and poc and wrote her That Way to prop up Jake as Good Wolf and Bella as White Angel Who Doesn’t Deserve Bitch POC Attitude.

In my area at the very least, and I would assume others. There SHOULD be a drop off point (or more) in your county/city clerk’s office. The mail makes me nervous as I’ve had shipping issues and I’ve always voted in person. Being able to drop it into a designated spot myself gave me such peace of mind.
Also there are sites that can tell you if your ballot has been received (tho again ymm depending on your state) My mother has already been able to confirm that her ballot has been received!
