Mandarin Blue Cherry Jam

three pounds fresh blueberries, crushed

1 1/2 pounds pitted fresh sweet cherries, crushed

one (11 ounce) can Mandarin orange segments, drained and crushed

1/4 cup lemon juice

1 (1.75 ounce) package powdered fruit pectin

five 1/2 cups white sugar

Directions

Combine the blueberries, cherries, oranges, lemon juice, and pectin in a huge pot; bring to a rolling boil. Stir within the sugar right up until it dissolves absolutely along with the mixture returns to a rolling boil; boil one minute and take away from heat. Pour into hot, sterilized jars and top rated with sterilized lids. Safe lids with bands, practice for five minutes in a very boiling water bath. Permit jars to cool gradually, generating a vacuum seal. Let to sit at room temperature one to two days to allow jam to set. Refrigerate just after opening.

Red, White and Blue Refresher

one quart pineapple or lemon sherbet

1 cup sliced fresh strawberries

1/2 cup blueberries

1/2 cup white grape juice or white wine

Directions

Divide the sherbet in between four dessert cups or bowls. Top together with the berries and grape juice.

Components

4 ounces crumbled blue cheese

four ounces cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup chopped candied pecans

1/2 cup chopped dried cranberries

Directions

Mix the blue cheese and cream cheese in a medium bowl. Stir during the pecans and cranberries. Serve at space temperature.

Blue Cheese, Bacon and Pear Brunch Sandwiches

1 Bosc pear, thinly sliced

1 1/2 cups apple juice

6 slices bacon

2 rosemary focaccia bread, or other square rolls, split

6 ounces blue cheese, crumbled

Directions

Location the pear slices inside a skillet, and pour inside the apple juice. Cook over medium heat until eventually the pears are soft, about five minutes. Drain pears and reserve; discard juice.

Meanwhile, location the bacon within a skillet and cook above medium-high heat right up until evenly brown. Drain on paper towels. Crumble and set aside.

Preheat the oven broiler.

Location the focaccia bread slices on a baking sheet. Divide the pear slices evenly among the bread, and prime evenly with the bacon, after which using the blue cheese.

Broil the sandwiches within the preheated broiler until finally the cheese melts, about 2 minutes.

Blue Cranberry Sauce

Substances

one (12 ounce) package fresh cranberries

1 cup water

1/2 cup white sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/8 teaspoon ground allspice

one pint fresh blueberries

Directions

Wash and select over cranberries. Spot within a medium saucepan with water, and sugar. Bring to a boil, lower heat, stir and simmer for 10 minutes or right up until cranberries burst.

Somewhat mash the cranberries together with the back of a wooden spoon to insure all skins are broken. Add the cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice. Mix very well.

Take out from heat and mix inside the blueberries (never be afraid to break some, but don't more than mash either). The sauce will thicken as it cools.

Transfer to a bowl, cool slightly and location plastic wrap straight on prime of sauce to cover. Refrigerate right up until chilled.

Correct Blue Custard Crunch Pie

Substances

eight ounces sour cream

3/4 cup sugar

one egg

2 tablespoons flour

two teaspoons vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon salt

two 1/2 cups fresh blueberries

1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust

Topping:

three tablespoons all-purpose flour

two tablespoons white sugar

three tablespoons chilled butter, reduce into small pieces

4 tablespoons chopped pecans

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).

Beat collectively sour cream, 3/4 cup sugar, egg, 2 tablespoons flour, vanilla extract and salt inside a mixing bowl right up until smooth. Gently fold the blueberries into the sour cream mixture. Spoon the filling to the unbaked pie crust.

Bake within the preheated oven for 25 minutes.

Whilst the filling is baking, prepare the streusel crunch topping: In a very medium bowl mix 3 tablespoons flour and two tablespoons sugar. Reduce the cold butter into the flour mixture until finally crumbly. Fold while in the chopped pecans. After the filling has baked 25 minutes, sprinkle the streusel crunch topping over the top rated in the pie.

Bake right up until the topping is golden brown, about 15 additional minutes.

Gordon's Berry Breakfast Drink

Ingredients

3/4 cup chilled orange juice

1/3 cup chilled pineapple juice

two cups vanilla yogurt

one cup frozen blueberries

1/2 cup frozen sliced strawberries

1/2 banana, sliced

Directions

Place the orange juice, pineapple juice, yogurt, blueberries, strawberries, and bananas into a blender. Cover and mix until finally smooth. The berry drink will probably be really thick. Serve right away.
