James Jirat Patradoon’s “Fever” at Superchief NYC.

Currently on view at Superchief Gallery in New York City, New York is Australian artist James Jirat Patradoon’s wildly excellent solo exhibition “Fever.”

Patradoon’s electrifying visual language is informed by the excessive amounts of unsupervised exposure to underground comics and Penthouse magazines during his youth.  I like to think that perhaps James was standing in a puddle of gasoline when a live wire fell into it and instead of bursting into flames he was able to absorb the ensuing explosion and releases it in small batches with every new work of art that he produces.

“Fever” will be on display until December 5th, 2016.  Go see it if you’re in New York City!
