top tip: if there's ever a lull in the conversation you can just start meowing
Gender presentation here means the way you physically appear in public most of the time.
Obviously there are short fem hairstyles and long masc hairstyles/anyone can have any length hair. This is just surveying the wider trends.

How it feels decorating a single spot in Animal Crossing
hey (with the intention of spending hours lying beside each other on the grass, pointing out fantastical shapes in the clouds).
Phew. This one took, uh… a bit longer than expected due to other projects both irl and art-wise, but it’s finally here. The long-awaited domestic animal infographic! Unfortunately, I didn’t have enough space to cover every single domestic animal (I’m so sorry, reindeer and koi, my beloveds) but I tried to include as many of the “major ones” as possible.
I made this chart in response to a lot of the misunderstandings I hear concerning domestic animals, so I hope it’s helpful!
Further information I didn’t have any room to add or expand on:

i appreciate the attempts a lot of game devs are making with gender neutral character creation, and i appreciate that it's actually a very difficult task to implement that depending on the game's base code. but it's so funny to me when you hear an uproar because some game has "entirely removed the gender option from character creation!!!!!" so you go to check it out and its just like
God I just fucking. I am so blown away when I watch any older movie. When they filmed on real sets and built elaborate props because cgi wasn’t an option. “Ohhh but you can tell it’s an animatronic it doesn’t even look reeaaallll” shut the hell your mouth. That is an actual physical thing that the actors could actually see and interact with. It is a billion times more “real” than the endless greenscreen bullshit you love so much.
I was showing my friend the 1956 Moby Dick and like!!!!! That’s a real ship on the real ocean! That’s real water! They strapped a camera platform onto a boat! Was it safe? Probably not. Did it make it look cool as fuck? Yeah!
And that whale is a physical object! They built a big-ass whale head and filmed it! They strapped Gregory Peck to a giant metal prop and dropped him in the water! That’s fucking crazy by today’s standards! This would all be cgi now!
And like, even well into “modern” movies we were using elaborate animatronics and that’s why they still look cool! That’s why they still hold up! These were incredibly complex pieces of technology that involved potentially hundreds of people and hundreds of hours to complete.
It’s sad that we just can’t do this anymore. It’s so sad that this technology just doesn’t exist and we must film actors reciting their lines to themselves in little individual greenscreen boxes and then have everything else filled in later by Dale the cgi expert who works 23 hours a day and lives in the studio’s basement and gets paid in gift store coupons. But at least it looks “real”, right?
