“Well, I’m going to have one prepared regardless. Just in case. If you’re too tired after today’s work, you can always stay, and I have plenty of clothes that could fit you.

In fact, if you’re tired, I’m not going to let you travel in that state.” Belle stated, giving Rapunzel a look. 

It was not a look that held reproach at all, but more of a mix between concern and… authority? The kind of look a mother would give, perhaps. Call it whatever you want. The brunette cared for her friend and she only wanted her to remain safe.

Rapunzel blinked in amazement, of course recognizing that authoritative tone of voice that was a bit characteristic in Belle’s personality, but she knew the brunette meant well. In the end, the princess nodded and chuckled at last, looks like she had no choice but to comply. Not like she minded anyway, this is probably the first time she’d stay at the castle. 

      “Alright, I’ll stay! You win.~” She’d tap her friend’s nose gently. “But for now? I’ll get started here. Thank you again for offering me a guest room.”

Another chuckle escaped her, and she couldn’t help but shake her head at the thought of her husband just trying to peek at their unborn child’s room.

“I’ll make sure to warn him then, but just know that I have no full control over his impulsiveness~” Belle let out with a grin. 

“You look like you’re already wanting to start! Shall I leave you to it? Oh! And since I imagine this should take more than a day, I’ll make sure to have a room prepared for you. I wouldn’t want you to travel back and forth so much!”

“Well, I suppose.” She chuckled, shrugging her shoulders. Rapunzel did bring her chest with paint and brushes to use, big and small, but she wanted to do this perfectly and to make every detail beautiful.

     “Oh, that’s so very kind of you, Belle, but... I’m afraid I didn’t bring anything with me. I don’t mind coming back and forth, really.”

“Take all the time you need.” Belle commented at Rapunzel’s explanation.

“After all, she’s not going to show up until several weeks. You go have time.” the brunette added, waddling a bit towards the blonde, and taking her hands in hers in a what was a grateful gesture.

“Thank you for this… really… I haven’t seen it yet, but I know it’s going to be perfect.” she said more quietly.

“As for promising…? Well… I can speak for myself and make a vow to you that I will indeed not peek, but you might want to threat Adam with that frying pan of yours if you want him to promise you such a thing!” she jested, a laugh escaping her lips almost instantly.

Rapunzel couldn’t help but laugh at Belle’s final words, taking them to heart, but she wasn’t going to actually exercise them unless it was strictly necessary!

     “Oh Belle, I could never! But I mean... I can try talking to him, I’m sure he’ll understand why we’re doing this. Besides, I don’t need him interrupting me every five minutes just to see how it’s all coming along.~”

Again, a tease. But now she’s going to fetch her tools, all of it to finally start working!

“Well, that’s because I plan to keep it a secret. Isn’t that what makes surprises fun?” Rapunzel winked, taking the opportunity to explore the room a little more. It was still empty, but Adam and Belle will probably need to have it ready soon to start bringing the furniture in just before the baby is born.

       “I’m kidding, I do plan to add a few roses in the room, make it look good with lively colors? What do you think? Do you want a specific pattern?”

As Rapunzel spoke of her ideas, it of course brought a smile to Belle’s face. The idea of roses was indeed in her thoughts, but she wouldn’t mind a different pattern, or anything the blonde would suggest for that matter.

The brunette looked around the room, trying to imagine what the other princess would eventually come up with.

“Well what I want is for you to unleash your creativity here.” she stated with confidence. “I know it will look perfect no matter what, Punzie. Adam and I trust your artistic skill.”

That... certainly made her feel a lot better, more confident in herself to be able to do as her imagination dictates, and hopefully create something Adam and Belle will both love and enjoy.

      “Perfect! Then I guess it’s time for me to work. I promise I’ll try to finish as soon as possible, since I know you both must be itching to decorate the place already. I can offer a helping hand if you both like! I don’t mind.” She really didn’t, Rapunzel loved to help. 

       “Just promise neither of you will peek until I’m done?”

My first language is : French.

I’ve been on various different platforms to roleplay. Started out on forums, tried Facebook for a year or two, but found the best of friends and writers on Twitter. I’m still learning the ropes of roleplaying on Tumblr, but I am a quick learner.

The brunette chuckled softly and gave the other young woman a shrug. 

“Well… I don’t exactly know what you had in mind, but…” she began, her eyes going up, which ultimately cause her neck to bend backwards a little so she could properly look at the ceiling. 

“The moment you offered your services, I just couldn’t stop thinking about that ceiling and how it lacked… a bit of your magic!?” she exclaimed, encouraging her blonde friend to look up.

“If you’re comfortable to paint at such a height and feel inspired by that idea, of course… you’re the artist.” Belle quickly added.

A playful roll of her eyes was given to the blonde as she gently removed her hand from hers. 

Once they were in the west wing? She used both of her hands to push open the door to what would be the nursery. What Rapunzel would then see would be an already beautiful room on its own. The walls, though they had a simple white coat of paint on them, also had intricate and lovely molding near the ceiling and floors, as well as small golden details.

Belle entered first, walking in with a dreamy grin on her face. Once she reached the center of the small - yet still quite large - room, she turned towards Rapunzel, both of her hands now going to stroke her belly.

“What do you think?”

Rapunzel stepped in second, turning into a full circle to examine the room’s details. Everything was devised to perfection, even the color of the walls seemed to confirm the ideas that she had in mind. Gold, this should do nicely. It could work, definitely. But she wasn’t about to spill the details to Belle just yet.

       “Gosh, this is beautiful. A big room, too. It could take me a few days to finish painting all of it.” She turned to face Belle, tilting her head somewhat dubiously. “Is that okay with you?

Elsa was now arm in arm with her more sprightly cousin, but was thoroughly enjoying her company. 

“No destination,” the snow queen said, looking around at the wildflowers that were blooming everywhere. “I just like coming to take walks in the evening. See everything in bloom, get some fresh air…”

Elsa and Rapunzel had one common factor in their upbringing: being concealed from the rest of the world. Rapunzel’s was more drastic, certainly because of the whole ‘kidnapping’ situation. So getting out of doors and away from walls was something that Elsa knew both of them appreciated. 

“Now, what brings you out here, hm?”

“The flowers are all in bloom, they’re so beautiful.” Rapunzel smiled, casually touching some of them with the tip of her fingers. She was humming a lullaby from her childhood, linking her arm with Elsa’s.

         “I wanted to visit you, I always do. I mean, after Belle’s baby shower, we haven’t gotten the chance to talk much, and I missed you.”

Oh, pregnancy brain!

Belle had been so excited to see the Princess of Corona that she had already forgotten to true purpose of her visit!

“Mais oui, bien sûr!” she answered with a soft laugh. How could she or Adam refuse such a generous offer? Rapunzel’s art was always so well conceptualized and unique! After all, if Belle wasn’t mistaken, her friend was self-thought. And that was fuel for uniqueness!

“Surely you need to take a look at what it currently looks like? For inspiration? And to see where you should paint?” she asked with yet another, wide grin.

“Come, I’ll show you!” she almost immediately added.

Gently, she grabbed the blonde’s hand, and started to guide her out of the parlor, and towards the stairs.

Rapunzel followed along with a bright smile, casually even swaying their joined hands in the process. Excited much? Maybe so. 

      “I can’t wait! I’ll make sure to paint Clara’s room so pretty, but be warned, neither of you can’t come in until I’m finished, okay?” And she wanted to keep it a surprise for when the time comes for the big reveal.

Immediately, she beckoned the blonde to step inside the parlor, and pulled the other young woman into a hug. She held her as close as she possibly could, given the fact that Belle’s stomach was very much keeping her from getting any closer.

“I’m so glad to see you…”

The blonde embraced the latter into a tight hug, or well as best as possible considering she didn’t want to make Belle uncomfortable. Once pulling back, Rapunzel showed her a bright smile, looking around the castle’s parlor, which was, as always, perfectly decorated.

      “I came as soon as I could. Do you still want me to paint the baby’s room?”
