The parallels of Elsa in the Frozen 2 trailer and Jack Frost in ROtG is…. uncanny. Is this a signal for the rise of the Jelsa fandom once again? Sign me the fuck up.

Jelsa’s going to be canon?

Hold your horses everyone! This isn’t a statement just a few thoughts and opinions of mine, this may be a long post but I just really wanted to address this

Sooo there’s this thing going around about whether or not Jack’s going to be on Frozen 2 or that Jelsa’s going to be canon and all that, and as a huge Jelsa shipper I had to see what was up. 

Because even though I would want that so badly, we all know the reality of things and tensions between big corporations, so the likeliness of that is very low (but of course that doesn’t stop me from dreaming and imagining them together). 

So I did my research (basically just scrolling through instagram lol) and just wanted to make some clarification for my other fellow shippers out there ahaha

So from what I got, that rumor started with this reply back when Mr. William Joyce @williamjoyce​ (the creator of Rotg) was promoting the Jack Frost novel months ago and that sparked some conversations

This then was followed up with posts about a hopeful Rise of the Guardians series that had hashtags that got some people talking again and well hoping (credits to @2snowflakeheart on instagram for this)

But Mr. Joyce actually addressed that already, he made a comment about it on instagram saying:

Then Rise of the Guardians actually premiered on Disney the other day which sparked attention again towards it whether they’re secretly making plans and stuff 

and now he actually made a post about this recently about Jack and Elsa, which if you haven’t seen it yet here it is:

This was honestly very sweet of Mr. Joyce including hashtags of Jelsa and even going so far to make a post about it (I still can’t believe it to be honest like HOLY CRAP, he used both of their names and actually talked about them in his post, sorry not sorry the shipper in me is going nuts!) 

And him instilling hope for us not through canonization of them but merely of us believing in them through our own imagination and wonder (which is what movies like Frozen and Rise of the Guardians is all about) so thank you so much for @williamjoyce it really means a lot for us fans and shippers out there that both support and Jack and Elsa <3

But basically yeah that’s it, even though we know that the chances are very unlikely, like Mr. Joyce said we don’t need big shot corporations to tell us whether they can be together or not, we have ourselves, our fandom to make it real. 

When I saw that post, I wasn’t really disappointed (okay I was a little hurt, but only a little HAHA) but it also touched me because it’s true Jelsa belongs to us and we steer their own fate with our hands and our creation (whether through writing fanfics, making fanarts, or just simply supporting it)

Besides Jelsa has been going strong for a number of years now and has become one of the biggest crossover ships out there, that’s a big statement in itself. And getting the creators to actually address it says a lot of how Jelsa has reached so many people’s lives even when they’re from completely different companies. 

They might not be canon in their respective movies, but they are canon in our hearts and the community or home we created for them and that’s good enough for me :) 

But not gonna lie I’m hoping for that fanart Mr. Joyce xD (joking! but if it actually happens then why not I’d be really happy for that HAHA)

(P.S but that doesn’t stop me from joking about their little easter eggs that could make them canon as well)

(P.S.S and that I hope they keep them single okay, for Frozen 2 and the Rise of the Guardians series which hopefully comes through hehe)
