MODERN PAIN PREMIERES NEW TRACK FROM ‘PEACE DELUSIONS’ EP

Dallas, TX hardcore outfit Modern Pain are streaming their new single, “Peace Delusions”, over at Noisey. This song appears on the band’s forthcoming two-song EP of the same name, which will be available on May 19th from Bridge Nine.

Peace Delusions is a teaser EP for Modern Pain’s full-length album, coming later this year. “Peace Delusions” (which will appear in re-recorded form on the LP) offers a caustic, noisy preview of what’s to come, maintaining a traditionally stomping and aggressive, forward-moving fast beat while conveying an eerie, paranoia-ridden atmosphere. The B-side, a cover of the legendary Sonic Youth’s “Kill Yr. Idols”, from an early EP of theirs of the same name, acts as a sensible referential point for where the band plan on taking hardcore: into the strange and unconventional.
