yeah wow this is.. really fcking over the top and homophobic.. yes claiming that butch/femme were only ever used by ppl who fit our current definition of lesbian is historically revisionist (butch and femme were being used by women in relationships w other women / who interacted romantically and sexually w/ other women to talk about presentation in the context of w/w relationships esp in working class communities of woc before bi/lesbian even really split off as identifiers) and it’s entrenched in identity politics and a lot of the divide is leftover from white cis radfem politics that didn’t emerge fully until like, the 80′s, and yes it’s hurtful and it’s bad that so much of that historically inaccurate discourse has become so grounded and supported without any research on here, but the way to address that is not “some lesbo scum” ohhh my goodness

to address the other side of bullshit happening here 

“the bishits” “wlw solidarity is a myth” this is also harmful and really detrimental to any sort of healing… lesbians/bi women/otherwise identified nonstraight women DO have solidarity and shared communities and any attempt to divorce them into separated fragmented communities is evil and historically inaccurate. bi women and lesbians shared identities spaces and movements before “bi” even became an identity specifically different from lesbian. bi women and lesbians still share aspects of identity, spaces, and movements based on their love for other women. attempting to drive a wedge between various women who love women does nothing positive or productive?? it doesn’t help lesbians and it doesn’t help bi women?? it led me as a young woman to abandon those identifiers entirely and to just identify as a currently woman exclusive nonstraight woman.
