Rose Tyler | Star Trek AU | Starfleet Scientist

@starfleetrosetyler / starfleetrosetyler.tumblr.com

My name is Rose Tyler. I have seen things both beautiful and horrible. I was a companion to the Doctor and a lover of Space and alien life. When I was sent to this universe for my safety, I signed up for Starfleet academy to live with the stars, save lives and see the beauty the universe has created. I'm a hard worker, I know a surprising amount of knowledge and would love to make friends with other Starfleet personnel and anyone who'd join me in my adventures across the stars.

The Doctor looked up at the young woman in front of him. Was it that obvious? “Uh yes, I’m afraid I am.” The Doctor replied with a soft chuckle. “Would you be able to help me?”

The Doctor chuckled softly at Rose’s words before they headed down the street to a cafe the Doctor knew. “So, do you have a job?” He asked as they walked.

"No, actually. I’m more of a student." She said with a shrug. "Sciencey stuff. Space and all that" She said with a slight blush.

"A science geek?" The Doctor asked her with a wide grin. "That’s brilliant! I’m a science professor. I teach space and astronomy!" He said. This wasn’t a true lie…he did have the TARDIS and quite a lot of knowledge.

She grinned. “Wow. How convenient.” She said with a laugh. “Guess the world is smaller than it  looks.”

The Doctor chuckled softly. “I wouldn’t say that. The world is quite large and this is only a small fraction of it.” He said.

"It’s to bad one doesn’t get to see all of it. And it keeps growing and changing. It’s quite… amazing" Rose said with sigh. "It’d be amazing to see it all"

The Doctor was silent for a moment, almost thinking of offering Rose a chance to come and travel with him.  But he hardly knew her! They would just have to see. “How does this look?” He asked, indicating a cafe.

She nodded. “Looks go ta me.” She smiled. “I don’t get out much, obviously.” She joked.

The Doctor chuckled and opened the door up for Rose. “Don’t worry about it.” He teased her as he followed her into the small cafe.

"I don't" She said with a laugh. "It's why I don't get out much" She said with a shrug.

Rose’s chest felt heavy standing on the beach in the alternate world,…

He kissed her cheek. “I missed you too, Rose Tyler. I missed you too. And you may be right.” He held her close allowing his hearts to sped up a bit.

"Do we have to fix this one?" She whispered, gripping him tight. She knew better. They had to fix it.Everyone on board the ship needed to go home. She sighed pulling away reluctantly.

The Doctor sighed and hugged her back. “I’m sorry, Rose. We have to.” He brushed her hair away from her face. “I’m sorry.”

"I…" She sighed. "I know, Doctor." She placed a hand on his. "I suppose we should enjoy our time together now before we fix it" She said with a half smile. "Come on. Let’s give you a tour then" she tried to sound a little happy.

He kissed her cheek. “I’d like that, Rose.” He chuckle softly as he followed her. The Doctor had never expected to see her again and spend time with her yet here he was doing both of those things. He’d only have to leave her again and knowing that hurt him deeply.

She started walking out of her room. "Want to see my lab? Is that cool. I have my own lab" She said with a big smile. "You can use it if you ever want to you know." She said with a smile. "There's seventeen other labs though. I'm not sure how I got lucky and got my own though..."

If we RP a romantic relationship:

I want them to argue. I want them to be sad. I want them to worry. I want there to be tension. Because that’s what a relationship is. They can love each other, but that doesn’t mean they get along or are happy all the time. It’s perfectly normal for people to be sad and worried or fight. Them being happy and loving all the time just doesn’t feel right to me.

She nodded. “Yeah… I can try.” She smiled. “Where are you headin’ or what are you tryin’ to do?” Rose said cocking her head to the side slightly, looking over the man curiously.

"I’m trying to find a friend for lunch." he told her. "They said they would be on the corner of Pleasant and Inguild. Any clue where that could be?"

"Well." She paused looking around her then pointed. "Okay, I think it’s that way…. probably." She nodded. "I’m pretty sure it is that way." She said with a slight frown.

"You think?" The Doctor asked with a small frown. To be honest…that wasn’t a very comforting thing to hear. "It’s alright if you don’t know." The Doctor told her with a faint smile.

Fine” she rolled her eyes. “I don’t know. Sorry. But hey, at least I tried.” She shrugged. “I’m Rose by the way.” She said with a half smile.

The Doctor glanced over at Rose. “John.” He told her with a smile. “Really though, yes you did try and that’s what counts. Thank you.” He told her. “Perhaps I could buy you a cuppa now?” He suddenly asked.

She looked around her as if his friend had suddenly shown up. Then she pointed to herself. “Who me? I… suppose I have time that.” She nodded with a brighter smile.

The Doctor chuckled softly. “Yes you.” He replied to Rose and smiled even more when she said yes. “Good! Great!” He told her. “I sort of know my way around here, perhaps we can get some chips?”

"Hmm... Yeah. Okay" She grinned with a nod. "Lead the way my good sir" She said with a soft laugh.

"Yeah. Right. Of course" she said with an eye roll.

"So, what’s this job of yours? Although, judging by your device, I’d say you’re a science officer of sorts."

"Biologist. Made me come do this since I finished up early today."
