"Whatever you want princess," he called back, walking closer so he could stand beside her. Ciel smiled as he leaned down to assist her in picking flowers; figuring it would be better if they would collect more faster than way. 

The Earl sat himself down after his arms were full, putting the pink flowers into a pile while he waited for Catherine to join him. 

Elizabeth glanced over when he began helping to pick, smiling. She didn't stop in collecting until her tiny hands were full. She turned and plopped down onto the ground in front of Ciel, throwing hers into the pile. 

"I don' remember how, Daddy. Finny did 'em with me last time," she told him, reaching for two flowers and twirling them in her little fingers.

"I’ll have it now, you did say you couldn’t wait to give it to me," Ciel answered, smiling softly at the girl. 

"I was just making sure!" She revealed a box wrapped in green paper, a red ribbon tied around it as extra decoration. A smile was pulling at her mouth as she watched him. She had found a ring she thought he would love, though it wasn't identical to his it had a light blue stone in the middle of it. "I do hope you like it."

"I thought you thought of me to be annoying. Since he's more calm, how could you not want him too?"

A smile came to his lips and he reached out to take a hold of her hand, squeezing softly. 

"Of course, thank you my lady."

"Don't thank me Ciel. Do you want it now or later?" she asked. She was just happy he wasn't brushing his birthday off as 'not important.'

"I have a present for you, Ciel! I was going to wait until the party but I just can't!"

Sebastian thought for a moment before replying. Although he wasn’t supposed to interrupt the Young Master, he still had work to do.

"Well," He started, "I do have some cleaning to do. Perhaps you could help me a bit by adding some decor to the house? Ciel loves when you add some of your cuteness to the manor.”

Although he wasn’t entirely partial to the styles Lady Elizabeth chose, it was always fun to see Ciel’s reaction when she came along and redecorated.

Her eyes seemed to light up at the mention of helping with the decor, a wide smile spreading on her face. "Oh, I would love to!" 

Her thoughts were already focused on what colors to use, if there should be sparkles or not, where she could hang ribbons and on. If Ciel truly loved her decorating she would make it better than she ever had. 

"Ex child soldier with PTSD, ex harlot, present burlesque queen, present drag queen, alcohol, drugs- what Prince would want a princess like me?"

Lizzy bit the inside of her cheek, thinking of what she could say to make him feel better. "They all go through hardships, you know," she reminded him. "Perhaps if you keep a positive mindset and cheer up, he'll come around sooner than you think!"

The Earl chuckled softly at how she was staring at him, as if he could say no to such a sweet request. 

"Of course we can, as many ask you’d like. You’ll have to show me how though, I don’t think I’m very good at making them." Ciel smiled as he said this, placing Catherine down on her feet so she could go and pick whatever flower she desired. 

Once placed on the ground, she immediately ran for a group of bright pink flowers, ones that Catherine adored and she knew her mother would, too. Lizzy never had left her girly phase, after all. 

"What about these ones? I like them, can we use them?" she asked, shouting so her voice would carry over to where her father stood. She didn't wait for a response and started to carefully pull them from where they had been dancing in the breeze.

"She’s very right, I’m sure she’ll burn off the food before it’s even close to tea time. We’ll be waiting in the garden for our snack," Ciel replied, making sure he heard the butler answer positively before he left the kitchen with Catherine on his hip. 

When he got them outside he placed the girl down, pressing a kiss to her temple before her feet touched the ground. “How about, after we eat, we can pick something pretty for when mommy wakes up?”

Catherine smiled as they left the kitchen and headed for the garden, her head resting against his shoulder. When they were finally outside, her eyes seemed to widen at the beauty around them. Even if she came out everyday, she was always in awe over all the different colors. 

"Can we make flower crowns, Daddy?" the little girl asked, looking up at him with sparkling eyes.
