Hey, my name is Hannah (rhymes with Donna). I'm an illustrator lately moved to New England, and I'm currently the Lucky Bug who inhabits the seat of Character Artist for Critical Role Campaign 3! I'm so proud of the work that I've done with Critical Role and Darrington Press the last two years. I feel so lucky to have been given a ticket to the Circus, and I'm excited to see what's in the center ring every week!

A friend of mine has a podcast about movies called The Pop Quiz Podcast and he’s doing a family feud-style quiz for a future episode! If you want to participate, check out the survey here!

Please take it seriously, no totally jokey answers, though it is definitely fun and a bit goofy.

Enjoy this photo of Ruby as compensation for taking the survey.

yknow i never noticed the sheer rareness of images having ids or alt text on this website until i started adding alt text to my art (and trying to remember to add it to any images i post in general, especially text screenshots) and that makes me kinda sad

I feel like a lot of people just don't know how to do it or are intimidated by the prospect. I was too, actually, and I couldn't find any good guides on how to do it (beyond basic formatting) and most guides boiled down to "just describe what you see and important details!" I really wanted to add alt text bc accessibility is important to me, but I would always get kinda stumped on how to do it.

But then I saw this image, I think in a discord server, and I immediately started doing it. It kinda broke the ice for me

Oh my goodness thank you!!

Something also worth keeping in mind with alt text is the intent of the image. You don't (and probably usually shouldn't) necessarily need to include every fine detail of the image if it isn't pertinent to the intent.

Also don't include things like "image of..." Assistive tech will convey that it's an image already.

I've been trying to add alt text. I started on bluesky, which has an optional setting that refuses to post until you add alt text. I find it incredibly intimidating, and I have made the choice to not post things because the alt text feels like such a hurdle to me. (Not an excuse. But if your brain is spicy in the same direction as mine, I get it.)

But this is a great common sense guide, and I immediately saved it on my desktop for reference.

Absolutely no rush. Just curious. Are you going to finish the outfit step by step for the bells hells characters? For writing reasons lol since we’ve got Mog down to her skivvies. Will we get Laudna and the others?

I mean I hope so! I intend to. I’ve just been really busy with a few big jobs lately.

I was fiddling around, trying to come up with a cleric character, and somehow this fell out. I could never play him, and he’s obviously not a dnd character. Maybe World of Darkness?

Morning reblog. Everyone look at my child. I’ve never been one for OCs but here I am.

should i watch shogun

Short answer: yes.

Long answer: Shōgun is simply great television. As a historical drama (especially one focusing on an incredibly eventful and complicated era), it succeeds not only in telling a good story but staying true to the realities of the time period. The performances are fantastic: Cosmo Jarvis and Anna Sawai hold their own as a marooned English sailor and his stoic translator-turned-lover, and Hiroyuki Sanada is completely mesmerizing as the embattled warlord Yoshii Toranaga (inspired by the historical Tokugawa Ieyasu). (Seriously, he can speak volumes with just a tiny quirk of his mouth.) Plus, it's got something for everyone: intrigue, betrayal, power politics, a clash of cultures, earthquakes, Cosmo Jarvis getting naked almost every other episode, men being torn apart by cannons, and an exquisitely angsty romance. Last but not least, it's visually stunning, as evidenced by all the beautiful gifsets floating around after each episode. So, yes.

Everyone please watch Shogun. I wanna draw about it. And I want your content, as well, please.

MORDRED MANOR!

By popular demand - MORDRED MANOR! SPOILERS AHOY There were 9 total backgrounds for this set! Any space with white in the windows is where you'd get a glimpse of the graveyard outside :) Starting off with the Graveyard, the Kitchen, and the Foyer

Next up we've got Lydia's room, Sandra Lynn and Jawbone's room, and the Staircase ♥

And finally Adaine, Fig, and Kristen's rooms!

Fun little thing here - I originally wanted to give Adaine a bunk bed, since Aelwyn lived there too. But when I learned she'd moved out I turned it into a desk and loft bed, and then the props department MADE the bed to match the art!

Some fun little things I had a giggle hiding:

Boggy's Terrarium

More Ayda feathers in Fig's room, and inspiration music notes

Cheeky magnets and sad chores chart

Little gifts and memories from Ragh to his mom

Baby Fig and pre-teen pre-tief Fig with Baxter

Counseling books

Cool statues in the graveyard

I had a new "oh, my family were the weird ones" moment recently: it seems no one else's family celebrated Frog Night (the first warm rainy night of spring) by going down to the local vernal pool after dark to help the amphibians safely across the road and listening to the spring peepers. (We'd then go back in daytime later on to observe the egg masses, of course.)

Apparently "Frog Night" as a holiday is a thing my mother invented and not a widely-accepted idea, which is a shame because I've been referring to it as if it was for the past 30 years.
