       { He hums a soft tune as he continues         to fuss with his garden. He knows that         someone is there but he doesn't turn            around immediately. }

Pain.  He feels nothing but pain. Pain beyond words, beyond anything to describe---just pain. There's so much blood, Abner isn't sure how he's still-- Another cry slips from his lips, he doesn't mean to. He loves it when he cries. When he screams.

Oh Father in Heaven, he loved it when he screamed.

He could feel Gadreel's eyes on him as he was ripped apart. Thaddeus would often make him watch. The two were friends, comrades. Maybe more--- they weren't even sure.

The torturer is speaking. He can hear him but the words aren't registering. He is too far gone now. His eyes are beginning to close and he feels faint. He always tries to make it last as long as he can. So hopefully he won't hurt Gadreel as much. His attempts are in vain. He knows this but--- it's the hope. The smallest bit of hope that gives him that little bit of strength. He is still an angel. Not a warrior but he was a guard. He had strength. He was no cherub.

Weakly a fist connects with Thaddeus' blade, knocking itout of his hand. He smiles a bit at that. And, as he knew it would be, that smile disappeared from his lips as he let out a scream as the torture continues. Pain doubled tenfold. Gadreel is speaking---no shouting.

And Abner desperately wants to protect his friend, but his body is too weak. His shoulders slump forward and his body falls forward as the world goes back.

And he prays to His Father to just let him die.

     It was nice to hear him. Calm. The wall down and finally—— finally that little angel Abner remembered. He smiled and stayed quiet for a while before knocking on the door, before pushing it with his foot so he could enter.        ”I brought you some tea.             It is said to be very relaxing.”

        Wings flare out painfully in surprise before drawing tightly back into Rogziel’s back, face slipping into a distrusting sneer as Abner speaks. The younger of the two stands up and crosses his arms over his chest. Everything about him is prideful and tense.

         ”I don’t need your stupid tea.

   Abner couldn't help but smile at the little pout. Honestly, this little one needed to calm down. He moved into the room and set it down on the table beside him.        "You will feel better if you drink something. I know it seems odd. However it does have a soothing feeling."

      He thinks he’s alone, sitting in the dark room with his head held in his hands. Ashen heavily injured gray wings curl around himself, broken and burned from the Fall. Softly, humming turns into lyrics,

                   ”Amazing grace,                       how sweet the sound…                            that saved a wretch like me…
